I don't think so might be a replacement for muntari who left with abit of a shuffle of the players who are out of contract i.e. duffy D traore christophe lauren there's 3 sets of wages gone. for appiah. could be a posibility but with other clubs going for him not confident we will get him.

More worrying than the have we got the money issue, is the fact he is having to tout for a new club.

Surely if he was any good, he would have been snapped up by now.

Then again, maybe this recession is going to affect players after all.

i think this would be the best news in a long time, so long as diarra doesnt have to go, although if he did appiah would be my choice of replacement. cant see it though as nothing has changed, we still need to cut costs(apparently), although....with all these contracts up in the summer freeing up some money and a free replacement now...who knows

I'd say he's top of Harry's list of targets for Tottenham, we know he tried to get him to Fratton for most of the six seasons we've spent in the PL, good free transfer for someone, not sure if it'll be us!, is he TA's type of player?

He was also linked with celtic and a host of other clubs, I think if celtic didnt have any issues regarding wages then pompey shouldnt have a problem either
