Listening to and watching Arsene Wenger this week-end in after game interviews made me, an Arsenal fan, despondant for the first time in a long time. This usually confident, cocky guy was mumbling and had the look of someone who had just been told for the first time that he was human! Got a feeling he is going to take a walk in the not to distant future.

I seriously doubt critics who are saying there is a 'crisis' at Arsenal.

Their club is in great shape financialy, they have money if they want to spend it and their younger stars look amazing.. Vela, Ramsey, Wilshere.. The biggest problem is that their confidence is shot but that will come back soon enough.

Gallas should never have been captain for you as he's more of a talker than a fighter, give it to Fabregas. The team should be based around him in my opinion as he's incredible for his age and this would stop all this talk of him wanting to leave. The other problem would be Arsene. Sorry mate but you need bottle your pride and spend some of that fortune if your going to win a major trophy in the future.. all those calling for his head though are not real fans. The guys worked miracles since he's been there and is one of the best managers in the world if not the best.

In all truth, if you were to get a TOP defender, midfielder and striker.. you would look just as strong as you have in recent years.

Ok firstly, I never said he was THE best. When I said about him being one of the best managers in the world I was referring to the numerous talent he has found over the years without paying large amounts of money. When you look in terms of finding young talent, he's been phenomenal.

Of course he's knows he could go out and spend 20 mil each on 3 stars if he wanted to.. I just think that his pride of bringing youth through is preventing him from doing that even though its got to the point now in which he doesn't have a choice with other teams in the league constantly getting stronger and stronger..

As an Arsenal fan i would say welldone to Gallas for doing what he did. He has done what he should do as captain where Wenger as manager has lost the plot.
This has been going on for sometime and i believe Gallas could not take it any longer. He signed for Arsenal to win trophies and all Wenger has done is to fil the team with youngstars who do not know what it is to win. How many times are we going to see these young players making countless mistakes which has cost the team results? When would Wenger realise that he cant win trophies in this league with youngstars?
We have seen burstups on the pitch with Henry & Ade, Ade & Bendtnar, Lehmann & Almunia, and now Gallas has gone public. The younger players because of their numbers are like a pack of teenagers who believe they know it all wihout any experience.
Gallas has made his comments due to sustained frustration and imo should not apologise until Wenger shows he is willin to change his policy of 'Kids'. Wenger asked for this, it has beeen brewing up a couple of seasons and now its burst.
This damaging attitude of Wenger shows in his post macth interview where he says the scoreline flatterd ManCity, is this a comment that should be coming from a man of his calibre? We were clearly beaten by a team with a much better balance (not filled with kids) and as soon as he realises and accepts that fact that is when the team will start to move in the right direction
Earlier before the season started i said on this blog that we would struggle to make top 4 if we did not buy mature players, at the time i thot Spurs were the treath but Villa are looking more likely to do the job. We have a real tough competition on our hands for which Wenger should now decide if we should be concentrating in the CL & FA cup this season which is the price he has to pay for not spending wisely the funds he has had available

As i have said before we True Ar1senal Fans need to be patient! First bearing in mind how much Arsenal are in debt! We have a fantastic youth setup, We DO have a great manager who has been a great financial bonus to our survival. What do you guys want! Trophies and putting this club in danger of doing a Leed UTD (no disrispect to Leeds fans) But they would back this up! Arsenal will need just a few adjustments to improve and you may laugh but this is what we need to do to get things right.

Get rid of Adebayoyor £20m
Van Persie £15m
Denilson £8m
Gallas £5m
Silvestre £2m
Bentner £4m
this comes to £54million

Bring in Guttoso 18m
A quality CB 10m
Bring in Ollich 8m from Hamburg to support Vela & Eddy! Get rid of players in the reserves who are just a waste of space. Thats £36Million.

That leaves 18million plus! which will not only implrove the squad but will also improve cashflow. Also getting rid of the primadonnas!

Arsenal fans must realise we need to survive and we are in a recession so people are spending less at matches.

Please get behind your team and we will reap the rewards in the next year or two.

Bendtner - wouldn't sell

That's about £30 million.
ManU just dropped that rough amount on Berbatov in the summer.

It is fair to say that Wenger is a top manager and has found some real talented young players. But lets not forget that Fabregas for instance was a Barcelona player and left because the incredible amount of talented youngsters fighting for places against the BEST midfield players in the world. Walcott was nurtured by Southampton, Ramsey by Gillingham etc.
While I would credit Arsene for his belief in quality players it would be fair to say that many of the Arsenal youngsters have come through academies elsewhere.
Premier league fans tend to be blinkered by the nonsense that it is the best league in the world and has the best players.
To consider Arsenal as better team and having better youngsters than Barcelona for instance is a very blinkered view of World football and typical of Premier league fans who believe the hype about the best league in the world.

Arsenal are going through a mini crisis, they have key players still out of action and Arsene deserves the fans and players support at times like this.
If he is a messiah get behind him and stop picking players for him!
