Browse: Motorsport Anyone else fed up with Ecclestoneby Invisiblecities (U12264145) 20 November 2008 I never really used to have a problem with Ecclestone, but over the last few months some have his decisions have been outrageous.First he drops Canada, one of the most famous and entertaining races on the calendar. Then he gives the prestigious season finale to Abu Dhabi - let me guess that decision was all about the extra drama and exitement their circuit will offer. But perhaps more outrageously; i read today that should Donnington not be ready for 2010 Ecclestone will simply drop the British GP until it is. Silverstone has received record ticket sales for next year on the back of Lewis's world championship, but that doesn't bother Bernie. When Alonso was champion the F1 fans were rewarded with a second race in spain, and it produced arguably the worst race of the season. Now that Lewis is champion Ecclestone's strategic masterplan is to drop the british gp. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

NEPTUNEMIKE (U13634783) posted Nov 24, 2008 Ecclestone has no real interest in the sport he is just interested in lining his very deep pockets, and that of the ferrari team.Hopefully his wife will take him to the cleaners but of course that will mean we will all have to pay more for F1.

Brock (U2577234) posted Nov 24, 2008 Canada out, France out in 2010,China considering pulling out, British going to Donnington. The people in the know are starting to suss the little person out.Let's not kid ourselves, the small one doesn't do anything other than what's good for him. Also remember that if he gets his way all Asian and Australasian races will be at night.......for the locals,no, for the big euro tv money.

pvandck (U1688237) posted Nov 24, 2008 Ecclestone has made a fortune from F1, and his decisions seem to be predicated on how much he gets out of each race. The fans, who should matter the most, matter the least insofar as they pay to watch and thus put money into the pot; and in China they don't even do that. It's the sponsors and foreign Governments who matter because they effectively pay for Bernie's demands. The highest bidder gets the race, which has nothing to do with excitement, entertainment, sport, the fans or racing even. Ecclestone's pockets rule!

shakerbluesman (U9307112) posted Nov 24, 2008 No French Grand Prix,Bernie you have got to be joking. This is one of the absolute classic historic GP countries. You are destroying the very roots of the sport, taking away the races from coutries that from day one have supported and run GP's,What with Britain under threat what next Germany and dare I say it Italy.Your personally destroying the very roots of the sport and all that history and support built up from the very beginnings of motor racing are being ruined, and for no good reason other than greed. The history of the sport is made by those who more and more seem under threat.I for one feel it's a very sad day indeed.Motor sport should protect it's heritage,it's past and think of this if it wants a future.
