Hello 606

Long time no see. A bumper night of international football tonight - featuring the beginning of what I predict will be a long and spectacular reign by Diego Maradona as coach of Argentina. Well, spectacular anyway. Anyway, if you didn't know already, Argentina face Scotland, England are in Germany for what I refuse to describe as a meaningless friendly (but it is really), Wales are over in Denmark while Northern Ireland host Hungary.

You can follow it all by clicking on this little link here:

But listen to me rambling on. What about you? How the devil are you anyway?

Whats all this nonsense about Ronaldos loyalty??? why should he be loyal. We paid 12.5million fo him 4yrs ago - in that time Hes helped us to 2 prem titles 1 fa cup 1 league cup 1 european cup and 100goals. Yes he showed his desire to leave but he has NEVER once spoken a bad word about Fergie or United so whos to judge his loyalty??? How loyal is Ji-sung Park, Carrick or Evra????? Why does it have to always be the best player who gets all the stick????

If i was signed for Juventus for example (i wish!!) and i became one of the best players in the world. if Man United came in for me i wouldnt hesistate for one second. and i know all of you would do the same for the teams you support

What the hell does Ashley Young have to do to get in the starting line-up? Downing is a flop, end of!

======================

Did you watch the match today? Or were you too busy humping your Ashley Young poster...

Downing set up both goals, and tracked back excellently.

Terrible games, these friendlies really are pointless. One thing is how badly will the press pick up on the goalkeeper gaffes, if it was Gomes they'd be out for blood but will Terry be blamed as badly for his ridiculous error?

You have no idea how hard it is for the goalie if you only come on in the 2nd half, no real warm up, it was rainy, slippery pitch, no experience with the defense lines yet, and last of all: He was Scott Carson after all.

Downing and Carrick for me were Englands best players. On that performance there have got to be a few so called 'regulars' worried for their places. Last night I saw for the first time in a long time and England team playing for the shirt which made me hugely proud. Personally 2 players would only walk back in that side from last night and that would be rooney to partner Agbonlahor and Ferdinand to partner Terry. Assuming they are all in form when the next game comes around - give them another crack at it and put the so called 'stars' on the bench.

On a seperate note would just like to say congrats to Stewie Downing. Playing with bridge we finally had a decent balance down the left hand side. Crossing could have been bit better but apart from that I think he did everything very well including the tracking back

Overall pleasing performance

Carrick was brilliant, another performance where the only reason you don't really notice what he's doing as he does nothing wrong. You can see he's learned a lot from scholesy, all he's gotta do now is start adding a few more goals to his game...which he's started doing for United.

It would have been nice to see Young get on a bit earlier and for agbonlahor to have still been on when he was.

Poor old Darren Bent, did everything right and then slipped at the vital moment.

not really i am commenting on the fact that i have had a comment removed citing defamation when people are allowed- and it is still posted to say that the germans are nazis. i would like to know where the justice is on this site. it seems as if you are allowed to make comment on certain nations but i have been removed for complaining about sentiments that praise Maradona for cheating. i have complained about the removal of my original posting. if you were the one to complain , have the guts to explain why

England were not good today. Crouch HAS to start on June 12th.
