Nickfootiefan (U6083404) posted Nov 17, 2008 Whenever Michael Owen scores we lose or draw? You obviously haven't seen much of him playing for Newacastle. Newcastle had a very fine run of results towards the end of last season, and Michael Owen scored in most of them. At the beginning of this season, after KK was effectvely pushed out and things went very bad, MO was one of the few positives in the team - he still managed to score even though the team as a whole was poor. The idea that he is being left on the bench right now is absolutely ridiculous - if he is playing regularly, he scores regularly, full stop. He has demostrated this time and time again. If he doesn't start the next game there will be (quite rightly) a lot of confused and angry Newcastle fans out there. Ameobi works his backside off, but he does not have the touch or movement of Michael Owen. He is world class and losing him would be terrible. If Joe Kinnear leaves him on the bench much more, its yet another incentive for MO to go. Keegan was turning this club into something really good and the way he utilised MO was superb - I really hope he comes back with a new owner soon so we can get back on track. Comment on this article |
