JeremyBatesBeatAllTheGreats (U10373429) posted Nov 14, 2008 Eh? England regularly field the expert cheat Steven Gerrard, the man who stole the European cup. Noone in the game can teach Gerrard anything about simulation or gamesmanship. So do you only have a problem with cheating when it's the other team?

JM-Sixto-Diabolos (U12294007) posted Nov 14, 2008 He's too full of himself for starters, & that kinda of persona will do his team no good. He has no experience at any kind of level unless you call being in rehab for years experience, however I doubt this will do him much good in football management. The whole thing is destined for disaster, even if he gets a good start at the weekend..

What about 1966 when the ball didn't cross the line. What about the time owne dived for England. As for being a manager he will motivate those players far more than anybody else as they all look up to him.

dougglug (U4408488) posted Nov 14, 2008 When Maradonna was mentioned in the same breeath as Pele - well, I just gave up. It's not his fault. Yes - superb goal against England. Yes, superb feet, touch and potential but he ruined it all by taking drugs and losing it all to temptation. He needed a better manger maybe but Pele for all his faults and bad tackles went for it and played as a footballer - Maradonna, I'm sorry, is a has-been. Good as he was he is half-man, half-history. Granted he could teach some great moves but WHEN has a great player ever become a good manager? Getting personal now since I'm living in Japan and had to endure years of ZICO (great player new X-File movie rating manager) Grrrr is all I can finish this rant with!

young-muz (U11185370) posted Nov 14, 2008 Hmmm serious pot calling kettle black going on here, maradona scored a goal which shouldt have been given... fair play he was still an outstanding player who scored a magnificant goal after that just proves they where going to be the only winners of that world cup, but what about 66 when a certain russian linesman gave a goal which never crossed the line? you can all dish it out but cant take it yourselfs ya bunch of hypocrites!!

Steven633 (U13671173) posted Nov 14, 2008 I reckon this whole episode in the Diego story is complete farce. The guy is not a manger and never will be. He might have been a great player in his time (definately the greatest of his generation), But I personally question the guys intelligence. I have a feeling he might be as thick as the proverbial 2 planks. Comment on this article
