I think the BBC match report sums up this game. After Fulham i didn't think we would have a similar game. We had Portsmouth. After Portsmouth i didn't think we would have another game like it. We had Blackburn.
How can we not take so many chances. We must of hit the post more times than any team in the country!

jimjamsafc you must think we're the new Newcastle where we just sack managers just like that or maybe the new Spurs.

May I suggest you become a Mag fan to rid of your silly comments of sacking a manager after a few defeats in a row.

When SAF took over at Man Utd, they languished in the bottom half. Y

Yep - point taken but still prefer to believe that what Keano said at the time he said it - wasn't a outright lie ! Not being naive, just honest and pleased nevertheless, and hope he doubles it up on Sat

Don't be daft. So you lost in the cup to Blackburn. So what? You're only three points from mid table in the league and Keane has the makings of a good manager. Sacking Keane if things don't change in three games will just make you Newcastle mark 2. You'd be much better of sticking with him and becoming Boro mark 2 winkeye

thatboyjonas you are obviously a very knowledgable individual with so much intelligent input to give, your extensive expertise of the glorious game leaves us all on edge waiting for your intellectual information regarding our team. In fact it is so eagerly awaited it probably ends up with many sunderland fans being late for work the next day, the expectation of such expert assessments of the game being more important than the comforts of our partners in bed at night thanks so much for your views on our team I am forever grateful, you prat

Quinn won't sack him. Quinn has already stated how much he admires Steve Gibson and the way he operates and that he wanted to use Boro as a business model so I can't imagine he will be to trigger happy.

From the outside I think you are mental wanting rid of him. He seems to be doing a good job to me, you have a lot of new players that need a bit of time to bed in. You will finish top 12 no problem.

Every game the hole seems to get deeper.
Get Keane out now while where still in the Premiership.
If we go down it's going to be a lot tougher for someone to recover the situation.
At least we have got a few decent players now.
Even though there's a lot of them overpriced and overpayed.
Keane's had enough time.

To be honest jimjamsafc, its people like you that should not be allowed in the city never mind the ground, what you seem to forget is we were languishing in the depths of the championship when king Royston took over, the five year plan was to get us where we are now. The main thing about that is we are not 3 years in yet. So get off the back of the team that is putting Sunderland where it belongs, in the top flight, and let them concentrate on the job in hand and not about people who have nothing else to do but moan. Do every one a favour if you feel that bad, go support the mags, they like to winge.

Jesus - 2 wins and we will be world-beaters.

I despair sometimes at the gut reaction tactics of some fans. 3 games and hes out?

What if we win them all? Give him a knighthood?
