zone1ranger (U12559759) posted Nov 12, 2008 i agree with mindajax. i think people calling for disaster measures to recruit a new manager only highlight what i feel is the main issue with the club at the moment - fans in a rush to see our "expectation" fulfilled.

Ich Bin Ein Naughty Boy (U8496447) posted Nov 12, 2008 Something I haven't seen anywhere on the subject of Gareth Ainsworth being given a chance to take the job full time is whether or not he has (or needs) any of the appropriate UEFA-endorsed coaching badges.

harveyhoops (U13632764) posted Nov 12, 2008 This debate will not cease until the board appoint someone.I hope they bring in someone with a fresh outlook who will work with Ainsworth and bring him on.Surely if they are serious about their ambitions they must realise he is not experienced enough. If they let things be and to be honest not much has changed since dowie left i dont see us progressing. The world and his dog know we need an experienced striker ( look at the reading game ) we were superb but no bite up front.Besides that I think the squad is good enough.A new manager with a fresh outlook PLEASE !Any new names out there ? For me Poyet might be a good choice. Not too old , did well at leeds ( all went wrong when he left )well spoken and seems to be his own man.

u22brownr (U4532917) posted Nov 12, 2008 First thing, Jurgen Klinsmann is the Bayern Munich manager and not in California and won't come to QPR. Secondly, while I would like to see QPR back in the PL, you need to spend more money. Signing Cerny, Ramage and a few youngsters on loan isn't going to win you the league, with what you've got I would see you finishing in the final playoff place at best. OK, you won't be able to attract the top top players but you can sign the best championship players. I think Ainsworth has done reasonably well so far, although admittedly not that experienced.

Doesn't he run up mountains to keep fit? Gerry Francis recognised that fitness was an issue, giving away goals in the last 10 minutes was a sympton of this last year, could David help? But is he able to complete the course?
