The owners cannot afford it as the club is built on huge debts, and they also don't feel they have to, as their supporters seem content to live on past glories.

Live on past glories? That’s Liverpool mate. United win trophies every year and have done for close to 20 years now. In fact I struggle to think of a year we haven’t won a trophy and haven’t put in a strong challenge for the title when we’ve not won it.

As for United not deserving to be in the CL final well looking back at your other comments I’m not sure if you just hate United or anything English. Either way with comments like

‘Arsenal don't get carried away, ManU aren't a world class side, their squad is UEFA Cup quality or thereabouts.’

How do expect anyone to take you seriously? Bless

The only serious trophies United have won in recent history are the one in Nou Kamp where god fell asleep, the biggest fluke in football history along with Liverpool's 3-3 if you remember the game and how you were outplayed by Bayern with crossbars and Schmeichel saving you time after time, and last year which was another fluke, only one team pushing to win it from the 2nd half onwards and JT tripping over himself on match ball like a complete idiot.

I'll say it again in case you forgot. United were outclassed by Zenit who are 5th in the Russian league and will get knocked out of the CL group. They could not beat Villareal Spain's 4th best at the moment at home. They could not beat Celtic without their 3 best players, which were annihilated by Barcelona last season. They have to spit blood to beat the likes of Hull and QPR, as they were doing in the end of last year against Blackburn, Boro etc. Last season they won the CL without being clearly the better team in any of the last 3 ties. Their squad currently has only round about 3 top-class players, the rest are considered average in world football standards and are overhyped to ridiculous levels. 90% are either too young and unproven, or retirees way past it, or plain mediocre. On that basis,

MANU AREN'T A WORLD CLASS SIDE, THEIR SQUAD IS UEFA CUP QUALITY OR THEREABOUTS.

The rest are for the sheep who don't have brains and eyes of their own but swallow the dumbgrass coming out of Alan Hansen and Graham Sounness's mouths and their daily education is the Sun and NOTW.

I forgot to mention that in 05-06 United finished bottom of their CL group below a famous club called Lille. In 06-07 again they travelled to Lille, where they were outplayed and outclassed, and United needed a perfectly good goal disallowed and a free kick taken with no keeper on the goalline to scrape through.

it is evident that you have absolutely no football intelligence whatsoever. Your opinion on players is laughable, to say Ferdinand and Berbatov are not world class is absurd and frankly shows you know nothing about football. Finally, if you feel Manchester United only have 3 world class players where does that leave every other team in the premiership; apparently the best league in the world?...

What the hell are you on about? The only serious trophy we have won was the Champions League in 99+08??? That is definatley the most ridiculous comment anyone has made on 606.
