Hey up and welcome to the matchday thread between Derby County and Leeds United in association with Sheeshkebab1711 and LUFC 4 LIFE. This is a Carling Cup match and a good opportunity for Leeds to face higher league opposition.

A decent chance to show ourselves against a championship club so hope we go flat out... Hope Beckford is fit for this one too. I fancy our chances of winning and look forward to it.

kinggit:

The halftime substitution of Teale saw us got to 4-1-4-1, or given our midfields spatial awareness, alternating between 6-3-1, 5-4-1, 7-1-2 and so on...

Tactical masterclass to bamboozle the young Gary Mac, and indeed everyone in the stadium....whistle

RF666VN, saw your article about the singing before it was modded. Fair play to you for not turning a blind eye (or ear) applause

From Gary Rowett tonight:

'Leeds outplayed us and outclassed us'

'Leeds looked a division above us and not below us'

Q: What was this win built on?
A: (Rowett) 'luck'

Well Played Leeds, Delph looks a great player, you seem to suffer the same problem with defenders we do :D.

I hope you continue the form as I for one always kinda like Mcallister and he seems to have you playing the right way.

Keep singing.. im glad you put the words on here ive never managed to make them all out before.

Hope everyone gets home safely and best wishes

Olhoswhite : ok

Glosta:

I thought we ripped into them for twenty minutes and then, whether down to fatigue or nonchalance, we stopped tackling, lost every 60/40 never mind 50/50, gave them wayyyyyy too much time to pick a pass and they dominated us from thereon in.

Their support lifted them and on another night we'd have lost that by a couple of goals.

I also thought the referee gave them everything; every Rams tackle was a foul and they were allowed to get WWF on us with a wave of 'play-on' from the ref. He even overruled his linesman when Claude Davis was done for a foul just on halftime despite their guy being offside..

We didn't deserve it but we're through. That's football!

Don't really know what was going on last night, I thought that in the main we were dreadful. Connolly was poor, Stewart, poor, Claud Davis did well except for two mistakes he made two of the best challenges of the game and got pulled up for both of them. Nayatanga played well, can't criticise the forwards but where the hell was Ellington playing at the start of the second half?? Commons made the second goal but apart from that he just didn't seem interested. It was a chance for the Ausies to make a name for themselves but they were both crap. Kaz, woeful, Green, not a good game for him at all, Caroll did well, superb save that would have made it 2-2.
Officials = imbeciles.

Derby will never play that badly again and win the match.

Claude Davis is the worst player for derby. I still cannot see why he even plays for us anymore! i thought i put in a few good tackles but other than that he just blasts the ball up and hopes one of our strikers chases it. I thought Villa wasnt at his best. He usually chases everything down like a mad head and trys to put defenders under pressure. Commons seems to have lost all interest in playing for derby these days and i think he should be sidelined to show him he isnt automatically in the starting 11.

Bring on Sheff Weds!!

Davis was one of our better players last night. He's lacking confidence but who wouldn't be after the stick he's had. From who was available, he did a decent job. UTR
