For my country, no?

Masters Series

It has become clear that Nadal's debilitating injury has practically handed the Davis Cup to Argentina en un plato. Yet can these injuries be traced back to decisions made earlier in the season?

Nadal himself commented:

"I think it's completely impossible to play at one's best level for all four tournaments -- Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome and Hamburg"

Yet he chose to play the least important of these tournaments, Barcelona. Risking falling into Gustavo's Trap, because "it is my home crowd".

It is now clear from the way the Davis Cup has fallen by the wayside that this was not patriotism, but the desire to use home crowd advantage for his own individual gain.

For his country? No.

why dont you question roger's patriotism? he plays basel often, yet he only plays davis cup to prevent switzerland from falling out of the world group EVEN THOUGH HE'S HEALTHY! instead he plays exhibitions with sampras all over the world? yet do you say anything NO! Rafa has won olypic gold, a davis cup and gotten his country to the final, roger could have easily done that? NO he very well could have but he didnt even try WHY? TO FURTHER HIS CAREER! BUT YOU WONT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THAT NOW WILL YOU!

Price is a measure of value and worth. So indeed, Rafa is very much like a Jackson Pollack....well done! applause

"Price is a measure of value and worth."

It can also be seen as a measure of stupidity on the part of the buyer.

Lot of bumping to be done here:

Opinion: "It has become clear that Nadal's debilitating injury has practically handed the Davis Cup to Argentina en un plato."

Yours truly: "Opinion shows his ignorance again. This DC final is played on indoor hard, Spain will be stronger without Nadal than with him. In fact if the Spanish have any sense they will now bring in JCF who is a tougher matchup for Dave than Nadal, and play Felicity against del Potro who hates facing a good slice."

Opinion: "It’s fine, I understand your point – you’re saying that Spain will be better if the world #1 does not play – now I get you. You do indeed know your tennis. yikes
Please keep publishing your pearls."

Yours truly: "Trying to make this simpleton Opinion understand matchups is about as futile as asking the Sun to stop rising. Never mind, at least I tried."

Opinion: "Trying to make a person with severe personality disorder understand that having the world #1 on your team is better than not seems to be a lost cause indeed.
Presumably, you think Lopez would have a better chance. laugh"

Yours truly: "Nadal has the mental strength, but he always did, and as for confidence well he never really has that on hard, especially indoor hard. Not like Nadal is the only Spaniard who is proud to play DC for his country, and Ferrer or JCF would give it their all and what matters is they have a much more compact baseline game than Nadal's and are better equipped to beat Fat Dave, who despite the rankings is still going to be Argentina's "leader" on the court. That does not mean either will beat him of course, just that they have a better chance than Nadal. Also if ESV has any brains he will play Lopez against JMDP"

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Pleasure as always Opinion, you tennis genius.
