I watched the game today, it was a pretty decent game in the second half. Silly challenge giving Fulham the winner from the spot, he should have just shielded AJ and let it run through to Shay Given. doh I suppose it's those mistakes that cost you though, and it did. ok

Not a dickybird from a Fulham supporter, so I'll repair the omission. We deserved to win and should have done so by more. Ok , soft penalty (rather makes up for the non- but nevertheless - for some inexplicable- reason- awarded- penalty that gave Newcastle victory in the equivalent fixture last season ) and awful defending for the opening goal, but who cares ? FFC will be ok this season. Solidly mid table and I'll take that.Newcastle fans - from what I saw today, the sale of "Worry Beads" on Tyneside should treble, at least.

Ilford82, totally agreed. Was at the game and we were better by miles. Newcastle were flattered by the scoreline, especially after Dempsey & Nev came on.

Saw highlights: Iwelumo has a rival for miss of the season. St Michael! In front of Capello too!I feel sorry for Toon fans; no-one's going to take him off your hands in the window & you'll have to pay his huge wage till next summer. He obviously couldn't give a toss about NUFC despite all his usual media bull (L'pool fans will remember just how much he wanted to stay there). Ameobi & Martens look a good pairing; if I was a NUFC fan I'd be urging JK not to let the spoilt brat break it up.

"We need Owen and N'Zogbia on. Duff just isnt taking players on like Zog does and Ameobi is back to his useless old self"

zogonthetyne55 - what are you on about?! Have you watched any Newcastle games lately? Duff has been very impressive lately, particularly in taking on players and running down the flanks. Ameobi has scored a goal in the last 3 games, he's in the best form he has been for months. I don't doubt Owen and N'Zogbia's talent but they shouldn't be replacing 2 players that are putting in all they have got for NUFC at the mo.

What is it with Kinnear? He blames the ref for a lacklustre, crappy performance by his players.
No wonder the Bartons of this world think it's OK to shout abuse at the officials all the game long - when they have managers like that who haven't the bottle to keep their own players in check and fail to admit they are rubbish.

I find it funny, that the Newcastle manager after watching My team beat his, feels the need to talk about nothing else but the ref. Look we all know refs are these days not exactly up to scratch well a lot of them anyway, so whats the point in even mentioning it.

I have seen far more worse decisions, that get hardly mentioned, but oh well, you win some you loose some. Sour Grapes if you ask me. We have all had bad and good decisions go for and against us, you just got to get on with it.

I almost laughed out loud when I heard Joe Kinnear say that he was fuming with the ref for giving the penalty which led to Fulham's winning goal.

Maybe he should have been shown a replay of Ameobi's goal and then asked if he agreed that Ameobi was offside when the ball was played to him. Maybe not though, as this would probably have led to another expletive filled response.

Just learn to lose gracefully Joe and get on with it like most others do.
