Utd roll on...

Scottish Premier Dundee United
comment on the article

fantastic first half performance from utd, some brilliant footie all round. fair play to aberdeen they turned things around but felt overall utd deserved the win. its great to have Levein in charge and after the slating he took at the start of the season (not from utd fans i add) its pleasing to see him proving what a top class manager he is. watching calderwoods blundering tactics in the first half i wouldnt want anyone but Levein to lead us. long may our unbeaten run continue...

Just listened to Leviens interview on the radio, he said that he thought that the same players that have played in most of the recent games looked a bit tired, well from where i was sitting they looked knackered therefore why not make a couple of subs earlier than when he did. I and practicaly everybody who was sitting relitively close to me was of the same opinion!!! Am i alone in wondering what have the likes of Swanson, Bauban and McCord got to do to get some playing time especialy when as i stated before the likes of Flood ( who in my oppinion lookes like he could do with a rest) and Conway (thought he was poor today) were not performing to there usual standards?! Don,t get me wrong, I think the above mentioned players are an asset to the club (when having a good game) but just had an off day. Therefore barrack me if you want but i think Craig Levien has to shoulder the blame for what i think was a poor display today. I think a couple of pairs of fresh legs early in the second half would of seen off the sheep before our backs were to the wall!!!

have to agree with "shedrule" though I live in Norwich and I listened to the game on the radio. I thought Conway and Gomis(although they had a great first half) should have been replaced earlier. It sounded like united lost the ball every time the ball got near them in the 2nd half, but like I say, I wasn't there.

i agree with shed. the midfield have put in a hell of a shift lately and need a break. i would like to see flood given a break. not all his fault though as he has been playing wide and is best through the middle. i would like to see the swan given a run. have a question for guys. what do u think of goodie. personnaly i think we need to get shot of him. he seems a liability when he come on. bring back kevin smith.

Craig Levein commented on Arabzone on Thursday (by the way, if you don't have it, I recommend it. Be surprised if anyone thought it wasn't good value at about a quid a week) that he thought the players were young enough to cope with a busy run plus no one did themselves any favours when a strong squad was put out in the reserve match against St Mirren. I was surprised Swanson or Bauben didn't come on and earlier, whereas David Robertson did, but maybe Levein was giving them a message. Perhaps also be thought replacing the strikers might start giving Aberdeen problems being caught on the break if they kept pressing (but for sure it didn't work out that way).

i have been at our last 3 games and to me it seems in every game CL has left changes far too late.
everybody in the ground could see feeney was having a nightmare and not even holding the ball up,the ball was coming straight back at the defence constantly.
we were always going to conceed a goal if it didnt change, but he changed after they scored.
same problem at falkirk last 20 mins feeney not moving and we were getting battered, yet goodie swanson sandaza on the bench!
same at ibrox feeneys tank empty last 20 and we were inviting pressure on because he wasnt in the game.
we played with 10 men in the second half as his contribution was nil.
wheres swanson???????????????????
hes quality and a match winner late in any game, cant believe hes not even had 1 minute the last 3 games.
we must shake things up against hibs as their a decent side and will be up for it after yesterdays defeat at home.
a win for us wednedsay and we are flying high in 3rd.

great result - i love it when we beat aberdeen, they really give some stick running up to matches and we've done them twice now - hope we get them in a cup again!

do you think there would be any chance of convincing the bbc not to interview calderwood after matches? - christ, i nearly slashed my wrists listening to his gash about being the better team all the time yet losing matches. you'd think no other team had dodgy decisions against them too.

us united fans know all about that from over the years - and just think where we'd be this season if we held on at rangers, got that penalty at home to celtic - oh yeah and the hamilton hand ball goal first game of the season.

i live in essex now and don't get to games - from the coverage i can get down here it doesn't look like united are making costly mistakes - that's the way to do it

shed rule!!

hmm maybe we could freshen things up a bit - we tired badly yesterday and a decent team would have punished us 2nd half - lucky it was only Aberdeen.

Up front the Sandman is doing it so let him have a run. As for Feeney well I'm still not convinved. But we have big Daly to come back and O'Donovan and Goodie so plenty of options.

The midfield is where we could maybe rest players as again we have options. Surprised to see David Robertson yesterday but maybe the manager is making a point to Swanson. After all he is the most talented player he's worked with so it must be something.

What I don't understand is why anyone would want to d*ck about with the defence though. Hard on Kenneth but since he's been out look at the run we've been on. Consistency is the key.

3 points on Wed would cap a great week

fantastic to finally see feeney score, took his time haha. Sandaza added another to his growing tally.

You lot really like to wind us up after a win against us, comments like "a decent team would've punished us - lucky it was only Aberdeen". What about the fact that your keeper & defence were outstanding and won you the 3 points in the end? The difference in that game was we made defensive blunders to gift you your goals & your defence was solid. It was a game of 2 halves, your half in the 1st & ours in the 2nd. Well done anyway.ok

True Bett, but some of the comments from Dons in the run up to this fixture always surprise me. I've never hated Dons, but then I grew up in the 80's when we needed each other in order to win stuff and the banter was always just that- banter!
