Saturday's don't get a whole lot bigger in the Premier League, do they?

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo...

Two giants of football go tete-a-tete at the Emirates, as Arsenal host arch rivals Manchester United in a game of huge significance for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Just up the road at the same time (1245 GMT), Wigan play host to Stoke, the new boys who have caused quite a stir in their top-flight stay so far.

Later, at 1500 GMT, there's the Phil Brown derby (Hull-Bolton), the Kevin Ball derby (Sunderland-Portsmouth) and the Tony Cottee derby (West Ham-Everton).

Not forgetting Liverpool v West Brom, the day's late game.

Oh happy, happy days.

How can people honestly think that Man Utd deserved to lose that game? Seriously?! We had more possession, more territorial advantage, more shots off target, more shots on target, more blocked shots, more corners. It was a great game, both teams played very well but United were not beaten by "the better team",
but only by the team that put away their chances.

The team which puts their chances away is the better team on the day.

ManU have done this to other teams so often, today was Arsenals turn to be more ruthless in front of an aging VDS.

Higuain and Etoo are rampaging through la liga. Four goals each, unbelievable.

Man Utd started the stronger particularly forcing Silvestre and Almunia into the mistake of gifting an in-direct freekick so early. But then Arsenal started to come into the game and both teams endured threats on their goals. Fortuitous for Nasri to score via Neville but it set the path for both teams come the 2nd half.

Come the 2nd half, it was Utd who looked the worse for wear, didnt seem as if they really wanted to do much, had their attacks, chances to really threaten Arsenal's goal but waned. Ronaldo missed a chance you would literally bet your life on him scoring.

However, while the difference in the 1st half came via Neville's deflection, the difference in the 2nd came via Man Utd's defence opening like the proverbial Red Sea. How often have Utd fans hailed Ferdinand as the true captain of England, the best defender in the world and yet today he made a number of errors that were so uncharacteristic with such accolade. Utd were literally pulled apart at the back for Nasri to run onto and slam past VDS.

Arsenal relied on their pass-and-move game to contend with Utd, who seemed content to make theirs up as they went along and only formulated substantial threats in the first 5-10mins of the 1st half. By the time Giggs and Rafaelle (sp?) came on, they seemed devoid of any enthusiasm in getting at Arsenal.

I also felt Ferguson made bad subs and late ones too. I would have made them on the hour, he made the prominent ones around the 15min mark. Ronaldo goes left, Rooney right, Park off for Tevez and have Tevez up with Berbatov. Not even the Bulgarian seemed to have much in his batteries.

Rafaelle on for Neville was good, Giggs on for Carrick would have been better. Anderson was holding steel in CM and he would have been better utilsed defensively behind Giggs. Anderson defensively, Ronaldo, Giggs and Rooney behind Tevez and Berbatov.

I think even today Ferguson accepted his side were off their game, for what reason I dont know.

Inter will win Serie A. Barca will win La Liga. Bayern Munich will win the bundesliga. Chelsea will win the Premiership. Predictable?'

well udinese are top of serie a, followed by lazio, valencia are top of la liga, munich are tenth and chelsea are being seriously contested.
so no.
-----------

Go & re-check the tables.

La Liga is best in terms of goals and attacking, stylish football.

Serie A & PL is best in terms of competitiveness.

Arsenal were amazing today. They kept hitting united with three or four players up front even when they were 2 goals up. Liverpool were also brilliant and found their composure in front of goal through Robbie Keane. Everton on the other hand should ask the FA to give their three points to West Ham.
------------------------------

Don't be bitter, Everton deserved their win today, it was a legit victory. I've lost count at the amount of times Liverpool have won by luck.

Well done, you beat West Brom applause

You want a grammy?

pep guardiola said that he wanted to sell Eto'o, Deco and Ronaldinho. Funny how all three are playing really well with eto'o scoring 4 goals this saturday, ronaldinho with the last minute goal against braga (what a strike by the way) and deco winning premier league player of the month at the beginning of the campaign

Well, it wouldnt be via anything else, anyone else win by other methods, us it's via luck. Coming from behind is something all clubs have done before, yet with us it's luck laughlaugh I have to. Another lemming that cannot or does not think about anything else. I'd take a win however it comes, and I'd think given the choice any other fan would too. Apart from you, of course.
