Its not the defeat...just the margin of it which is irking me. How the hell can concede three goals to a team which is 17th in the league and has lost its last five matches?

Just hope we pick ourselves for the Blackburn game

You guys are never satisfied.JM got canned for playing "defensive" in the CL...Grant got sacked for losing the CL Final and now you are having a pop at Big Phil...does the phrase "ungrateful" mean anything to you?????

You cannot win every game you play in Europe as some of the opposition is half decent..Look at te other results..Barca...drew when they were expected to bury their opponents..it does happen that the best made plans of mice and men...

Most EPL teams would be grateful of a chance to play in the CL so please grow up and be grateful for a chance...as for the hotel comments I dont understand why they would announce it even if they had done it..I agree Big Phil said it not understanding it would be twisted out of proportion...No wonder he didnt want the England job..Our media are total maggots and claerly enjoy taking comments out of context and blowing them up to be controversy...

what annoys me is the fact that malouda has been substituted at ahlf time pretty much every game. h never stays on the left. and he is generally rubbish. yet we still play him. we are poor up front. anelka, kalou, malouda, aint gud at all. we need players who can beat players or create some magic. break down teams. we cant do that. we have possession yet we struggle to get in. i'm worried about our back-up squad.

i'm not too concerned about this one - it reminds me of that 3-0 loss away to middlesborough ages ago - the team just went with the wrong mentality, made bad mistakes and ultimately paid for it. i'm sure it's anything but a sign of things to come

i feel last night we missed the presence of
essien who i admire and is a big engine..also carvalho, ballack, were sorely missed..
i have felt for a long time mikel is weak in passing and is too slow...as for malouda he is to inconsistent, and kalou is just not up to this standard,we will have to roll our sleeves up maybe this will do them good and get a reality check..

Lack of an engine and a driver for it (and i don;t mean Phil Driver either) was responsible for the defeat in Rome. Somehow the spirit was not there but Scolari has done his maths and a win or a draw in Bordeaux is enough even though you don;t have to be a professor to work that one out. A defeat in Bordeaux means UEFA cup at best and humiliation as Bordeaux and Roma will manufacture a draw in their final game.
Scolari has to be able to vary his tactics and right now all CFC do is to attack from different angles. We are not grinding out results this season and as yet we have not had to. If we do then the team is not set up for that not that is until the likes of Essien and Ballack are back.

Skiing with his Bavarian chums apparently! Scolari's new rotational system includes giving key players a break during the week of important games - innovation indeed.
