Another great Champions League night at the home of the Champions is almost upon us. Don't let yourselves be distracted from the real talking point in Scottish Football this week. Just enjoy the build up to this huge game, as its not every week we get to play the Euro Champs(though it seems to happen in almost every Champions League campaign we've been involved in of late), and the fact that its against English opposition this time, adds its own little bit of spice to the occassion.

C'mon the Hoops

Hail Hail

I think Fergie has a mission and that is to qualify for the next stage as group leaders, mind you we still have another away game against stubborn Villareal and i think its better to take each team as it comes.Mind you the last time we played at celtic we lost the game so its time for ammends. I however would love to see the likes of Tevez and Giggs on the starting line up who still have a lot to prove this season. Rooney could be rested and may be if need be he jumps on as a sub. Park would too be a good choice in place of Nani then that would give us enough forward thrust with the creativity of Berba then the Celtic guys will up for the game.

The truth is that the gap in player quality between Man U and Celtic has perhaps never been greater. They are a considerably better outfit than they were when we last played, and beat them, at Celtic Park.

Fergie may well have one eye on the game against Arsenal on Saturday, so he may not field a full strength team. However, whether he does or does not, we've the advantage of the home crowd willing us on and many times this has done the business. Lets just see what happens, although its playing for pride now.

You can say all you want about the Parkhead home crowd, and the fact every Scottish person will be willing Celtic to beat the English champions, but United have so many top, top players (some of which are in brilliant form aka Rooney, and now Berbatov), that I just cannot see anything other than a United win here.
I think if United can silence the crowd nice and early it will be another easy night for them.

I'm not feeling confident about this game at all. Usually I think we have a great chance at Paradise but this Man U team is something else altogether. But, stranger things have happened, if we can keep it tight for the 1st hour then we may have a chance and who knows, a Naka special again!!!

I'm not sure esthar2 knows what he is talking about when he says 'every Scottish person will be willing Celtic to beat the English Champions.' Most Rangers fans are saying things like, roll up for the Parkhead Pump-fest. As a Scotland supporter I wouldn't mind if Fletcher has a great game and scores the winner and McGeady continues to play crap. However on balance I hope Celtic do well, even if the 'world's greatest fans'thing is annoying

Incredibly naive to suggest that all scottish fans will support Celtic. Do you also think that all English fans will support Man U?

This is a different game from 2 weeks ago. Celtic could snatch it I think.

United Supporter here.
Being honest, I'm expecting a tough game. This is effectvely a cup final match for Celtic and i've a feeling Celtic will be out to prove a point. I think the first 20 mins will be important and whoevermanages to "boss" the midfield battle will I feel have the advantage and be the likely winners. Contrary to many, I do think this will be a close game. Celtic will have a go - there's no doubt about that, however if they leave gaps when attacking, United have the players to exploit them. I believe Fergie probably would settle for a draw - I think he may be more concerned with keeping the side free from injuries especially with Arsenal away on Saturday lunchtime which for United is arguably a bigger game. Will be a great atmosphere, - Celtic support is great and United's travelling 3100 supporters at Parkhead will as usual give the team great support.

So long as the ref doesn't cave and give Man U the breaks again i suspect it will be a very close game (much like the first game would have been but for those errors).
