At the end of the day, 3 points is 3 points.

Stop complaining about small things, we all knew Hull wouldnt just roll over and die.

Sooner or later, we will absolutely destroy a team just to prove who we are.

Don't put out team down after 1 bad result last week. We still scored 4 goals today, the defence will improve still.

This is only a small blip, and we are still right on the Scousers tails with a game in hand, and don't forget their luck will disappear soon.

Two questions about the terrible officiating:

1. If the ref gave a foul to the Hull defender for taking down Carrick as he was about to run in on fgoal, then surely he would have to give a yellow card as well, meaning a sending off. Carrick was about to run in on goal alone.

2. During Hull's free kick which they scored and also later in the game, after the whistle blew to tell the players to get on with the game, the Hull player quickly scooped up the ball in the air with his hands before placing it back down and his teamate shooting it. He picked it up with his hands after the whistle, that is a handball and a deliberate handball at that. By the letter of the law, that should be a yellow card!
---------------------------

Actually even though the ref has blown the whistle isnt the ball only counted as in play AFTER it has been kicked? I mean for start of the game when the ref blew the whistle you could just leave the ball and nothing would happen because the ball isnt in play yet... so its not a foul, and i guess if the position of the ball isnt changed (closer to goal or furthur away) then it isnt against the rules

I think Sir Alex has a problem, he has Ronaldo who really does not want to be there, he has Tevez on tenderhooks if he will staying and Rooney.
The guy has got talent but it not being channelled in the right direction, and if Sir Alex cannot do it nobody will.
The tackles from him yesterday were pub football challenges. He should be instructed not to tackle any opposition players in his own half. He would definately be my captain for THUGLY UTD.

Utd are not in the business of embarrassing newly promoted teams, we save that for the derbys. Having said that, Hull are an amazing team & I think we underestimated them yesterday. They could easily have drawn. They have also doubled the entertainment value of the Premiership this season so far together with Tottenham's comeback.

As for whether Fergie has anything to worry about? Ask the likes of Liverpool & Chelsea, who are seeing a familiar story creeping up beneath them to the top of the table again. I think not. The league is ours again & Liverpool will be our closest challengers. Experience is everything in this game & we've just won a league & Euro double. Who or what have we got to fear when we've already achieved so much & are used to doing so?

Three points maybe, but if they play like that at Arsenal on Saturday they'll be leaving with nothing. I think Tevez is a waste of space and I'm glad Fergie has delayed on giving him a long term contract.

Hull were great yesterday and they were the reason we were pushed right to the end, can take nothing away from United, people say that we didn't take our chances, but we scored 4 times, we don't do that every game.

Hull are the model for anyone that comes up, well organised, brave, and a lot of hard work.

United won't concede 3 at home again this season.

We need a run now, Arsenal are for the taking next weekend.

There is a lot of need for concern.
We need to put away a team, when we're up
by that much ( 4-1 ).
We have to play, as if we were down 4-1, instead.
It got so close, if Hull had scored one more goal, it would haver been 4-4, and we would have picked up only 1 point, instead of 3.
We need to play all our games to " kill " and not slack off, like we need.

Hull were unknown opponents, but we got three points. That is enough - I have faith in United's players to get the job done. Don't worry!!

I think everyone is forgetting Hull we're expected to go straight back down so they get away with play very attacking, offensive football as they have nothing to lose. As such they've surprised a lot of teams. They are one of the few teams who will come to OT and play two up front and this puts a lot of pressure on the full backs. This also breaks down our play as we can't build attacks from the back. Personally I think Hull played very well against us and their tactics were spot on.

In terms of Fergie being worried? Well I wouldn't say so. If we win our game in hand we're 2 points behind the leaders with joint second best goal difference in the league. We need to still find our form yes but nobodies running away with the league so it's all still to play for.

Hi folks, Hull fan in peace, I see there's quite a lot of nice comments about Hull on your boards, thanks for that, I enjoyed the match at OT, and feel the result was right in the end, and with regards to the rest of the season I'm very confident that you will win the league this season, L'pool will be your nearest rivals, closely followed by Chelsea, the Gooners will be tousling for fourth with Villa, Hopefully Hull City will survive, because believe me we are really enjoying life in the prem, just a word to a lot of your 'fans' you ARE the best club side in the world, so please stop moaning, after our journey we can tell you this is paradise!!
