Stop Kidding Ourselves!Premier League Arsenal by topgooner87 (U12772602) 01 November 2008 Look at our great football Arsenal fans. The best football in the world. Who we kidding. To be the best you have to be complete from keeeper right up the field. To all those arsenal fans that keep sticking up for this current team, your as much of a problem as our stubborn manager. This is not good enough for any title, they aint got the stomach to be the best. There is no real quality. The football we play only pays off when the other teams leave themselves open. Arsenal are so easy to beat its unbelievable. What excuses can anyone have for this team. I have run out, and come to the conclusion that we are miles behind the other top 3 when it comes to being a complete package. Lastly why on earth would any manager play 4central midfielders in one midfield. Untill we aquire a world class goalkeeper two world class defenders and a world class midfielder we aint going anywhere. God i miss Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Pires, Campbell etc. Personally i believe the football we played then was the best this club had ever played. All we do is pass. It aint that great. Infact its getting boring. I want to be direct and quick like we use to be. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

grw2709 (U13670802) posted Nov 3, 2008 Am very disappointed! Arsenal have a brilliant side, very technically gifted and we all know Arsene looks for that in a player! When they are playing well they are undoubtedly the best team to watch in the Premier League!

highburyhigh84 (U13258034) posted Nov 3, 2008 Arsenal are in a transition period. Yes, all us gooners miss the days of henry, bergkamp, pires etc but that is history now. We need to focus on the future, and with our current squad we will win trophies, just not quite yet. Remember our players are much younger than in most teams and providing they stay with us they will gain experience, confidence and of course get older. I have no doubt that in a few years Arsenal will have the best football team in the league and possibly in Europe. Just be patient and hang in there.

BionicPeaches (U7618841) posted Nov 3, 2008 Sometimes I feel Arsene Wenger is opting out of the real PL title race by insisting on signing and playing as many young players in his first team. Very commendable indeed and as has been talked about in the last few years "he's developing these young players". But at what stage does the 'developing' stop and the real press for winning titles start? The 'developing his players' stance is beginning to sound like an excuse for failing to win things and a very convenient one as well. Or is his (seemingly) relentless pursuit of the perfect play and win hindering his team's acheivements? To quote Charles Rennie MacIntosh - "There is hope in honest error, none in the icy perfections of a mere stylist"

maddy_AFC (U12749549) posted Nov 4, 2008 They play brilliant football and win on a day and the next day they are poor, this doesn't mean they need a new manager or some more players or even a leader. They have lost and drawn games only where they had to confront the physical test or undone by goals which can not be scored in every game of football. And there are not many teams with such stubborn resilience as Stoke and Sunderland. Yes, against Stoke; Arsenal were far below there standards but not in all the games they did not win.
