Okay so not the greatest performance, but it has to be said, 3 Wins in 6 days is a fantastic acheivement.

And if we're thinking about it seroiusly. the race for 5th spot.

We're 6 points in front of any seroius challenger, (Portsmouth)..I Know Hull, but it's likely they will fade away as the season goes on,

Is it me or Is Agbonlahor's finishing actually very good, people say he is like Vassell, but if you actually see Agbonlahor, he rarely wastes a good opportunity to score, the problem is, he sometimes doesnt do enough to give him the opportunities, but he's a very calm finisher and a good one, and thats 6 in the league for him now! Playing well or playing average, thats a great start for him!...

Newcaslte Monday, nice 5 day break, get players fit, And Hopefully we can get a result their, in my opinion we look alot stronger away, playing with abit more freedom, abit more space. when we're at home, we don't play too well but hey looking good,

UTV!

Friedel now plays for VILLA!

"The visitors' fate was sealed three minutes from the end, when Agbonlahor sprinted away from Christopher Samba and tucked the ball beyond Friedel"

They have corrected the Hughes blunder I see...

I think McIntyre UNCOVERED!

Good result, nice to see us holding on to wins this season, and for once being able to win without playing brilliantly, that is a hallmark of a good team, and emphasises the progress we've made since last season.
As regards Gabby, i'd say he isa good finisher, a different league from vassell. The only thing that holds him back from making the step up to full international football is being able to turn/beat his man to create chances, which at the moment he only does intermitently. However, his pace, understanding with the rest of the team, and goal threat are crucial to the way we are playing at the moment and looking at the incredible progress he has made since his debut season we can have every cause for optimism that he will improve on his weaknesses simply by playing week in week out in the league and in europe whilst having one of the best managers in the game as his mentor. Sounds good eh?

Well done Villa. A deserved result. Shame neither team, particularly us deserved the shoddy reporting. Has this man been smoking too much canabbis tonight? Or he is trying (very badly) at being funny? Either way, entirely unprofessional for the Beeb.

It is fantastic seeing Paul Ince in his predicement, last week he was talking about the SPL and look at him now, WHERE IS THE GULF.
Not between the SPL but between the team that is placed 5th in the EPL and the rest. Incey shut your gob.

"Playing their third match in the space of six days, Villa looked jaded and will be delighted to have somehow scraped a victory that keeps them fifth in the Premier League table."

Ok, Mr McIntyre, you've finally got the correct manager and players for Blackburn. Could you now have a quick shufty at the PL table and see which position Villa is ACTUALLY in please?

doh

Interesting comments on Mr McIntyre's article. When I read that article I got angry. Sure Villa were not at their best, but what bias!

Tbf, blackburn were a bit better most of the game an had a few good chances. End of the day facts are we scored 3 and they got 2 but the scoreline doesn't always reflect the game. And for biasness towards the villa, have the bbc ever done such a thing? Not in my memory..

BBC have never liked Villa..the worst was the FA cup match against City when they were virtually willing City to equalise...and low and behold..Micah Richards provides..

Must be from 80-81 when we pipped poor old Ipswich to the title..

Maybe Johnathan Ross might be doing the next one : )

Well done Villa. But once again it was hard work. However you know what they say, the best teams get results when they play badly.

As for the BBC being biased against Villa, there was a time when I would have agreed, (the days when a good performance from us was squeezed on to match of the day just after watching Bolton and Fulham play out another "thrilling" 1-0) but with Alan Hansen saying we're the only team in his mind that'll possibly break the top 4, I'm hoping there's been a turnaround in the beebs views on Villa.
