squareoldcodger (U11022610) posted Oct 27, 2008 Harry has always been pretty loyal to a Club and has only left when there has been friction, apart from his first move to West Ham from Bournemouth and that was understandable. He left West Ham when his hands werwe tied by thr Board who sold players without agreeing it with him, Portsmouth, the first time when a Director of Football was appointed over his head, Southampton, when Lowe renaged on promises not to sell players and that money would be available for team building. Portsmouth are rumoured to have financial problems ( and be up for sale)and players were sold in the Summer that Harry wanted to keep, I doubt whether the full story will ever be known of just why he moved on though.
