RUBBISH!

Premier League Middlesbrough

No more excuses from GS, we simply are not capable of playing for a full game. 4th time this season we have conceded in injury time. Time for GS to take off his nice guy hat and give the players an absolute rocket.

We played like a championship side today, outplayed by a poor Blackburn, we were lucky to be ahead (bar the Tuncay non-goal) and AGAIN we concede at the death. Too many points being lost and I worry they will really matter at the end of the season.

Given the fact we are going to get the club "we deserve" (Mr. Lamb), let's hope someone puts their hand in their pockets to replace the lost prize money for what looks like several places further down the league. Let's hope we don't end up next to the Geordies, but if we don't improve soon, we may.

To Borobounceronthedole

No I wont shut up because it is bang out of order to down our own players and to call the team rubbish, because it was'nt that bad.
I totally agree with criticism but not insults.
I would rather we went back to 15K genuine Fans than all these moaners who cannot even play the game.

To Boro_1992

I totally agree with you that this is up to GS, I totally agree that he should be criticised and not the Players.
I have said repeatedly that certain players in my opinion should not be playing because they are out of form, but in the end I support BORO and my support is unconditional. Of course I was disappointed not to win, SD was awful again but I repeat to call our players Rubbish is bang out of order, I did'nt think Riggott was any worse than any of the rest of back 4, of course we can say they are not good enough, but thats who we have got, so what else can we do other than support the team.

I thought we played well apart from downing and the center middfield. We attacked well( tuncay goal, alves goal, hit the bar etc) And we defended well delt with 90% of the high balls. But the ref seemed against us. Aliader was great. We took some of our chances but unluckly for us tuncays was dissalowd and we hit the bar.
I expected 4 points from the bb game and man c so if we can draw with city and win against west ham il be happy. And whats wrong with drawing with bburn away. There not a bad side and have some decent players so i dont know what the fuss is about. Admitidly we didnt perform to our best but we got a draw from a late goal. We should of won it but we didnt.

I dont think ref was against you, granted the offside goal should have stood - i could see that from where I was in the crowd - but we should have had a penalty for a blatent handball and Aliadiere seemed especially affected by any strong gusts of wind.

Was happy with a point at the end but I would have been gutted to have left that game with nothing

DowningsRightfoot - I think you'll find that I am entitled to my opinion, and unlike you can write it down in an understandable manner.

I've seen several games this season and we ARE struggling more than we should. We haven't got the depth in the squad we need and GS is making mistakes. You probably didn't notice as you were doing your primary school homework or something, but GS brought Emnes on to kill time in the last 5 mins, he then gave away a needless free kick as he had only just come on and was a bit off the pace, the free kick became the corner that then became the goal. I know what GS was trying to do but given our record in the last 5 mins of games would it not be best to leave well alone?

Anyway, you will notice (if you can read) that I have NOT said sack GS, I have said it is time for him to get tough. So before you spout off about other managers, read what I have written. Good luck in your SATs, Mug.

robbiemustoefanclub - my last article before this was December last year!! I may have put 4 posts in the last 6 weeks, but I don't think I am any more negative than a lot of fans on here. It's sometimes difficult to be positive when you have just seen your team surrender a lead again!

I know what GS is trying to do, that's why I won't call for his head. I also think we have some good players and unlike many on here like Gary ON, Alves, Riggott etc. But I think even the most hardened fan will agree we need to tighten up at the death!

As I say on my profile, Boro 'til I die, I just occassionally like to vent my frustration after a game like yesterday!

While we've definitely got to start playing a full game, and learn to defend properly right up until the final whistle. As a slight excuse, Grella who took the corner should have been sent off. He was booked then two minutes later hacked down Emnes in what should have been another definite booking but alas no card. With that and the wrongly disallowed goal, it's a case of not getting the rub of the green from the ref again.

oh come on, i'd have taken where we were AFTER chelsea defeat - just outside top 10 - befor the season. and i know we're letting in a few late goals, but those wouldn't have coast us a few seasons back as we'd already have been one down. perk up, it's not spurs/barcodes, and we're a young team. it's like being an england fan 10 months back! belt up, have a bit of patience, SUPPORT YOUR TEAM!!!!

Thought we played quite well on Sat, thought there were positives & negatives to be taken from the game.
Positives - Tuncay coming back, quality player, Alves' great finish, Aliadieres work rate & a bit of fighting spirit - Negatives - Downing, he should be dropped now, Taylor, not good enough for prem & last minute goal again.
Overall, thought it was a decent performance, need to start keeping clean sheets though & the midfielders need to start scoring or its going to be another long hard season me thinks!
