I think the lad who mentioned Pienaar is spot on. When we have Peanuts & Tim in the side we're much better balanced. Its no surprise to me that performances have picked up now we have our wide man back

Quick one for you Everton fans...

Im a United fan in peace. Great performance from your lads in the 2nd half today, you deserved the point and could have escaped with all three but for a great save by our keeper. Here is my gripe though - your not turning into a team that only tries against the Premiership Champions are ya?

If your lads have put in that 2nd half effort against Liverpool this season you would have beaten them, yet in that game they rolled over and died. Yet today, and credit to them for doing it - they produce a performance which they are capable of.

Does it not anger you, seeing your team only put this performance in against United, and not against the other 18 teams in the league?

I feel EXACTLY the same way about the Arsenal, I think crap teams ALWAYS up their game against Arsenal and yet roll over and die against Man Utd

Last Seasons fixtures of .... Wigan v Man Utd, West ham vs Man Utd being PRIME EXAMPLES!!,

Wigan gave Arsenal a horrid match and defended like their lives depended on it, yet against Man UTD, their defence parted at will (like Moses) and allowed Giggs to score and take the premiership with no real effort!

Erm... West Ham beat Man Utd last season? If you remember rightly, we went 1-0 up, the Ronaldo missed a penalty, then Ferdinand and Upson scored headers?

Also in the Wigan game, I dont think you can accuse Wigan of not trying. They battered our goal in the first half and were unfortunate not to score, and my heart stopped when Heskey headed narrowly over the crossbar.

I think your reply demonstrates your lack of football knowledge, so your credibility has disappeared well and truly. Thats a shame, because to an extent I would have agreed with you, had you not given such bitter examples

What's up with Rooney? Why's he so bitter towards Everton these days?

-------------------------

It's the outward reaction of someone who deep down knows he is a hypocrite and traitor to his childhood club who is only in the game for personal glory.

Stop bandying about the term 'legend' to describe turncoats and gloryhunters. Rooney and Ashley Cole are two of a kind. Legends they are not.

Ask me for a legend and I'll show you Matt LeTissier.

I was at the game and I actually thought the ref had a bad game like SAF about protecting players.

Now i'm not agreeing with SAF, because the ref wasn't protecting Everton players either. The ref though was inconsistent, and that is why he had a bad game.

I think SAF should grow up and accept that the players are adults and that they do NOT need protecting. I think SAF is in his criticism, referring to the challenge by Neville on Ronaldo. Now i'm not been funny but if a player challenges for the ball and makes contact with the ball and then the player afterwards then that is a fair challenge, it is called tackling.

Does anybody believe Fergie would be causing this much of a fuss if Roy Keane had made the same challenge or even Phil Neville in his Man Utd days?

I think SAF is starting his mind games with referees. Do Man Utd have games coming up against Blackburn, Sunderland and Bolton? All traditionally are tough tackling matches. If so expect a player to be sent off in those games for challenges against Ronaldo or Rooney.

Also did anyone else notice in the highlights on MOTD on Saturday night, the goals weren't actually shown. If the goals had been scored by Rooney, Ronaldo or Berbatov then they would have been shown a few times from different angles, and there would of been praise for the finish and pass. Instead there was nothing.

This is unfair by the BBC on Fellaini and Fletcher. Who both scored good goals.

Instead the match focussed on the negative aspects of the game such as the poor defending and the stupidity of Rooney inciting the crowd.

Come on BBC sort it out.

This was a much better performance from Everton and lets hope it sparks the return to form that the payers and supporters deserve.

COYB!!!

Totally agree. Did you see Gerrard's booking yesterday? I think Paul scholes himself said it best when he said, during a European match to some wincing, mincing, handbag-merchant - "Get up you puff".

Now i know Gerrard himself has been guilty of the odd simulation, but I've never seen him feighn injury (or scream like a stuffed pig) as Ronaldo did yesterday - WITH THE SOLE INTENTION TO GET ANOTHER PLAYER DISMISSED.

It stinks.
