Should Lewsey play at 13 for England in the AI's. He is played there recently for wasps and been doing better there than at fullback. Realisticley what other options are there i can only think of Noon and Hipkiss both of whom i don't rate highly.
Good idea or Not?

Lewsey has fallen from grace it seems. on the last Lions tour he was arguably the best back on the field.

Runs straight into contact and his passing is poor. So no I'd rather not have him play at OC. Wing or nothing for Lewsey and I'd prefer the latter.

I do wonder when I see him pass why he ever played 10. Lots of strengths in his game, passing is really not one of them.

Lewsey has lost form and confidence, he needs a few good matches for Wasps before he is exposed to international games.

Dr Webb, I think exactly the same when I see him kick! Anyway, I agree with Sam, only a wing at international level for me. But...having said that we've played Noon and Tindall there and you can't say that passing is a strength of either of theirs - although Tindall has improved. It always disappoints me seeing Engalnd 13s who can't pass. You get so few chances at intl level and then having a centre who can't consistently nail a 2 on 1 seems crazy.
Haven't seen much club rugby this year, how's Hipkiss playing or is Armitage up to it? Is it too much to dream of Ollie Smith rediscovering his form in France? When you think of what you'd like from a 13, Smith seemed to have everything.

Hipkiss or Armitage are both better options.

He had a good game last night, playing at 13.

I hope he will be picking up Fraser Water's role at defense, our big problem this season.
Giving Tom Rees the armband seems to of worked as well.smiley

fair play to Josh he's helping Wasps out by playing yet another position but surely the hope of anyone taking on Water's mantle is Waldouck when he's back. Now he is the real deal at 13, so if he could learn how to run the blitz like Fraser used to.

Dear god the kicking. I've been working hard on not thinking about his kicking. That technique that manages to slice the ball short and not into touch is quite something.

On the Waldouck learning to blitz front, is that one the reasons Wasps aren't blitzing this season, or are they simply looking to have a more varied defence?
