Calderon statement on Ronaldo

European Football Manchester United

Is it just me, or is this a very bizzare tactial move?
It is clearly not a "what you see is what you get" job - never is with Madrid.
Calderon the conjurer is up to something here, I fear. They wouldnt just give up on Ronaldo like that?

What do you think? Am I reading too much into this?

"Villa is comfortably better than Torres"

--------------------------------------------------

please give me a break torres is a much better complete stricker. but i actually think real madrid are playing down there interest in rondaldo, as now ronaldo has come out his corner crying that he is loyal etc now the move is looking more slim by the day

Villa is a more complete footballer.
Ronaldo demonstrates every game that he really is a loathsome individual. Good player though.

Playing good football is what he is paid for...his personal life and views are his own, so mind your business about it! <yikes>

I said on this site Ronaldo would leave united I have been proved wrong so far. But his move being blocked by utd because of the contract he has signed till 2012.. However in the games thus far you can see Ronaldo is way off his best in fact he is being carried.. to a certain extent - good job rooney has hit form !
I felt we would lose against liverpool and my worst fears were realised.. That defeat has set liverpool on their way and they are very serious title contenders.. utd are traditionally slow out of the blocks , but the early fixtures this season are not favourable to utd - this will make this season the hardest ever if they are going to catch liverpool cheslea and arsenal [ hull is a blip ] ronaldo needs to get focused quickly and back to form - a hat trick against west ham tonight will do it..

I know its MOTD and many are sceptical about its views and analysis but I said the same thing it said about Ronaldo's body language. His goal against West Brom gave him very little satisfaction and he showed it big time on his facial expression. Is it he is being intimidated or pressured on by the manager to remain at the club?

Now it appears Ferguson has said RM signed Heinze to encourage Ronaldo all the more to come over. Where does that logically come from? If Utd's prowess, achievements, teamplay and history mean little to Ronaldo in comparison to being with RM, thenby all means let him go. Thing is there is nothing stopping him from performing for Utd right now, I imagine that is one good thing for the fans.

The chance he had near the end at GP was one he would usually finish or at least have on target, and he did neither.

"As a city fan I think united should sell him in the summer and look at buying players like torres, villa or aguero."

Or maybe look into picking up Robinho? You not aware Torres is a LFC player? Didnt leave his home club of many years to come to LFC for money? You should know that, making big headlines about your interest and getting a brick wall in reply.

"Assuming this post is serious (!), I'll help you out - Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Eto'o, Casillas, Sneijder, Villa, Aguero are all top end world class players, and there are many others.
Villa is comfortably better than Torres"

Out of the two, certainly would opt for Torres, I think he is more agile than Villa, he has the pace clearly over Villa, uses feet and head and has a bigger build to hold off bigger defenders. When Villa is comfortable of playing outside of La Liga, then I'd review my opinion.

Why are Torres and Villa even mentioned in the same breath as Ronaldo he is easily a class above. As for Messi time will tell but he plays in a poor league with generally poor players lets see how he would like a Sunday morning against Bolton. I think he would be off within the first half

tygermad, that really is a joke...by that token you're saying the only league worth anything is the EPL? The skill and technical level troughout La Liga is miles above the Premiership, just watch a lower league team against either Barca or Real, and tell me if they have 11 men behind the ball the whole match - it hardly ever happens and they are always comfortable on the ball.
