This is Pardew's and the team's fault

Let's look at the reasons why Zabeel have decided against following up with their offer. The economic climate in the country and the questions about foreign ownership of clubs. Both these happened in the last couple of days? Of course not, they would have been fully aware of these issues before making the indicative offer.

We need to remember that they have no affiliation with Charlton and we needed to be sufficiently attarctive to make them want to aquire us. Two shambolic displays will have well and truly warned them off, make no mistakes! They would be looking at a side that would be in the premiership with modest investment but saw a side that looked like it is heading for League 1!

This has benefited Pardew and the players because had we been taken over, a lot of them would have been out on their ear. Now they have a chance to make some amends for wrecking the most significant opportunity the club has had to move forward (possibly ever). They need to get their fingers out, start playing like the proffesionals they proport to be and get us back into contention. We still have one of the largest wage bills in the division so we must have some quality! Pardew-no more messing about with 11 men behind the ball away to Doncaster, lets have a go for the bl***y games!

I'm depressed and feel let down by people who are taking the money but not delivering even part of the goods. Pardew must turn this round now!!! If he can't he should walk away off his own back.

We have to roll up our sleeves now and get on with it. Unfortunately, thats not something that this team is very good at. Pardew has to take a great chunk of the blame as to where we are right now. Last season, brought in the likes of Gray,Sinclair,Halford,Lita at a time when the team was doing well, and then subsequently disrupting the team spirit so that the run in was abysmal. Then this year is starting to criticise (maybe not explicitly) the players that he signed. (mind you the likes of Varney and Gray dont inspire me much either).
The longer he stays Charlton manager the more i think he talks a good game but aint got it elsewhere. At least with Curbs he would change the side around mid game but Pardew seems unable (or unwilling) to do that.
Isnt Curbs unemployed at the moment?
Could be a big fight to stay in the Championship this year - being replaced by Millwall - what a horrible thought ! But at least then we wouldnt have to put up with their scumbag lobotomised fans.

The loan players were all a waste of resources apart from Mills and Lita. Lita's movement was absolutely sensational. But the main culprits?

It's nothing to do with the loan players, how well we played. When Halford & Cook came in we'd won one match in nine since Andy Reid had been injured. Give Sinclair and Cook a platform and they can rip in this league. Reid made his own platform, something Ambrose, ZZ, Thomas and Sam just don not understand.

How does a team who wins one in nine have a team spirit? These players are the best paid in the division, better than West Brom last year. Attitude has nothing to do with money or skill. These guys don't have it. Lita showed more application than any of the four houdinis I mentioned.

Oh I'd say to all Palace fans not to laugh yet. I hope you do well this year, as I pray we do.

I admire Jordan for what he's done for your club. But you're a club without assets apart from some very young players, and we all know in hard times they're not worth very much. You don't own your ground. Jordan has spent his 36 million from his mobile sale.

We have a six million mortgage with Lombard North central, essentially RBS, the rest of the debt is to chairman who are supporters. RBS are now part owned by the government.

Your debt is with Agilo Fund Limited who specialises in dealing with junk debt. A Hedge Fund which deals with junk debt, ummm won't take long for them to go under? Hmmm I wonder what happens when they go under? If you couldn't get credit from anyone else but a Hedge Fund that deals in basket cases where are you going to get it now? i dread to think what happens to you when you invariably default in the next year or so.

We're in a bad way. But are a football club in the traditional sense, ground & club owned by same plc. Palace is a shell that if it goes bust has no assets bar the players. I hope you're fine but you're in a hole with nowhere else to go.

I ave to agree with Tatruth on Mills n Lita - our best loanees lass season withahrt a doubt n for all is oteadedness on the pitch, as a defender Mills could lead the backline n score goals n all n looked dangerous goin forward.

Good article Muttley. Fair comment. My only addition would be about the 11 on the pitch showing some resilience when things aren't going well. The last 2 games, we started well enough, got anxious when we didn't get the breakthrough, then gave up when the opposition score. This was an attitude I had to deal with when coaching an under-14's side in Leicester years ago. That was annoying, but understandable from a mix of gauche and hormonally challenged teens. From a bunch of highly paid professional footballers, it is completely unacceptable.

Yes down for just over a month and 3 goals in eight games. Would have stayed longer if we were challenging for play offs.
