bourgh vs cfc,no brainer.0- 5.

Premier League Chelsea
comment on the article

today cfc produced another top flight footballing spectacle.

yesterday big phil faced the media scrum, the questions fielded focused on cfcs injury list & the bourghs past record of giving cfc problems.

scolari refused to be baited into the club v country injury debate.

and was also asked would cfc be happy to take the draw?

true to form scolari responded we play to win and tommorow will be no different, stateing we have a very good sqaud and will field our strongest side.

as our season progresses the sqaud is gainning in confidence and the ability to be flexable & adaptable depending what line up we put out.

it was good to see kalou, malouda, beletti & lampard all get om the score sheet, with anelka causing the bourgh defence problems.

mikel is growing into a fine footballer and looked in control. our defence was rarely troubled.

we have a very testing week ahead, playing rome in the C/L & LVPFC next weekend, hopefuly our injury list will ease and we can field our strongest options against next weeks opponents!

In this post I'm being completely serious:

1) Belletti is one of Chelsea's best players, always has been since he joined. When he plays, things happen, either a 30yard screamer of a goal, or an inch perfect pass - Look at the Arsenal game last season when Chelsea were 1-0 down, Drogba took the credit for the 2 goals, but it was Belletti's unbelievably precise long passes that picked Drogba up - As an impact sub I don't think you can get much better

2) Chelsea are playing better football than Arsenal this season. Arsenal fans find this hard to admit, as they realise that without their 'beautiful football' they have nothing.

Even the media now are finding it hard to make Chelsea the most hated team in the land, you can't criticise the wins or the style, they're bringing to the Premier League exactly what we want to see.

GREAT point about belletti, i remember fulham away as well, 1-0 at half time, it was belletti's corner which kalou levelled things up from and it was belletti's freekick which led to the award of a penalty.birmingham away last season belletti's corner for pizzaro to make it 1-0.

Just spoken to the gaffa and he is in a good mood, I think I am in for a whopping payrise at Christmas biggrin. He told me it would be a cold day when I get any extra money out of him! Role on Christmas.

I hate to say it but I think Chelsea will win the PL this season - just a feeling. The same way ManU would storm through games, winning comfortably without first team key players, Chelsea at the moment are doing the same and the class is in plain view to see. I just can't see anyone stopping them - not even LFC. Although LFC beat ManU early in the season, the Red Devils were clearly not in any kind of form and were easy to beat. Chelsea on the other hand will be a different kettle of fish and I think this will be a key moment for Liverpool - this is the first real hard game for them and it will be interesting to see how they handle it. The PL is looking a lot more interesting and competitive this season and all the more better for it.

hey guys. Now that you've got the attacking flowing football Roman wanted do you think he'll open the purse strings and if so, do you think Big Phil will want to spend?

9 first teamers out and 5-0, thats pretty awsome. Must say, I never really dug you guys with Moanrinho but BPS has made you a much better team.

I'll confess though, I thought he might struggle to adapt to the club game. How daft am I!

bionicpeaches,

yes this weeks match with liverpool will be first definning moment for both clubs this season.

these games can be a drawn out draw under jose & avram.

but in scolari we hope that do now have the extra yard.

but in the long run i do believe after xmas/ end jan is the time to be able to say weither the cfc challenge has the potential to succeed.

son of evil,

i think everyone was a little hesitant about scolaris capacity to adapt, his cv said he would.

but he is a very good manager, the cfc board do deserve credit for his appointment.

purse strings?

well traditionaly the jan transfer window is not the time to restructure, the best players will be cup tied.

but we maywell wish to try to add a striker.

the rest of the squad is balanced and we do have a very solid crop of reserve players on the brink of joinning the first team squad.

but i do think come next summer cfc will very active in the transfer market, moving players on for good fees and bringing a world class striking partnership, that will come at a cost!

I think everyone has to agree that we have been the most consistent and played the best football where as you look at liverpool (dont get me wrong the have done the job) but they have come from behind 5 times this season to win games and to me that shows they have fight but shows that they dont have the ability and quailty to win games easily next week end will be a big test for us im going to sit on the fence and say a score draw I hope we beat the scousers but I think they are our main rivals this year
