ralphjohn69 (U8854941) posted Oct 16, 2008 Having played the victoria course from the back tees whilst on holiday in portugal in may it makes you realise how good thr pro's actually are. I shot 82 (playing off 4) and played not bad; of the 8 of us there (handicaps between 1 & 6) only 2 broke 80, 1 guy off 1 shot 75 and another off 3 shot 76. Admittedly I'd been out on the lash and had about 2 hours sleep but the course was still tough!

aries22 (U1946540) posted Oct 19, 2008 It's nice to see Paul Lawrie on the leaderboard again. I've followed him since I saw him win The Open at Carnoustie in 1999. I hope he can win some tournaments next season. He's a solid golfer.

Cuzza500 (U5551978) posted Oct 20, 2008 Paul Lawrie got next to no coverage and finished second!! Its about time the Beeb hacks start waxing lyrical about him. Remember still the only Brit to win a major in more than 10 years and a great supporter of junior golf in Scotland. A marvellous performance in Portugal after a tough year.
