Give your views on N Ireland's victory

World Cup Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland claimed their first win in the World Cup qualifiers with an easy victory over the minnows.

David Healy struck low into the net for his opening goal of the campaign and a blistering shot from Grant McCann made it 2-0 at the break.

Kyle Lafferty slotted in from close range for the third before San Marino's Mauro Marani was red-carded for striking Michael O'Connor in the face.

A cheeky Steve Davis finish 15 minutes from time sealed a vital three points.

So Nigel Worthington's team is off the mark, but have they left themselves with too much to do in Group Three?

Who were your star performers at Windsor Park and is David Healy back to his brilliant best?

ROO-LFC-GAWA,
Glentoran comment was made in sarcasm. However, your name calling reveals that you must be one of those loud linfield supporters; obnoxious, rude, disrespectful and generally an embarrassment.

By the way, Glentoran were busy this week in the Sentanta Cup, remember?:
Derry City 3 Linfield 0.

Have a nice life!

are we not meant to be commenting on the result not players that want to play for other countries. Why would we want Darron Gibson playing for us. Give the shirt to someone who wants to play for us! If he wants to choose an inferior team, let him. We don't need him!!!

And yet again a NI thread is invaded by bitter RoI/Celtic numpties. Did the Cyprus thread in the RoI section get derailed by NI fans? No, of course not. Pathetic.

Good thread though. Funny watching horsebox and hoalie getting destroyed. Keep up the good work laugh

i do have a nice life thank you, my team win trophies - makes me very happy thank you very much!

and yes i am a very loud and vocal blueman, just in this shambles of a scenario, i find it comopletely unfair on our bitter, bitter rivals to be forced to play a cup final in which every single odd seems to be stacked against them, seems to me that setanta (irish company) are completely trying to do everything to prevent any team from NI winning this tournament

ROO-LFC-GAWA,
Ballymena 2 Linfield 0.

Ballymena would have beaten San Marino 5-0.

Where does that leave your beloved Blues???

Now go work on you technical skills!

ROO-LFC-GAWA,
I was referring to your self-admitted poor internet skills. You're probably really a nice person, you just have difficulty showing it and, you obviously have an anger problem which presents itself in name calling, similar to that of a nine year-old. What a shame!

I wont be contacting you again, my wife is beginning to become suspicious.
