it starts 2moro.can any1 tell me the format as such and also the skysports coverage?i followed it last year but i forget!is it over 18holes or 36holes?and is the coverage sky have live or not?i dont think it is which is a shame.i personally think/hope trevoor immelman wins.goosen or furyk havent won majors this year or for a while so that wouldnt be right.so that leaves harrington and immelman and harrington is probably tired so i think immelman will take it home.

Great finish by harrington yesterday with 3 birdies in the last 5 holes. To win the PGA player of the year award is just fantastic, only the second European to do so. All this along with 3 majors, a former european order of merit winner and numerous victories worldwide, (21 in total now), he has become such a class act.

I would give anything to see him hit top form come the Masters next year and play in the final pairing with Tiger. If harrington can produce his A game at Augusta and putt as he did when closing out majors this year, I think he could give tiger a real run for his money. That of course is assuming tiger returns from injury okay ! I think Harrington is one of the only players that does not fear woods given his track record playing with him.

Padraig, the people of Ireland are truly proud of your achievements, keep it up!

If the Masters was on this week Karlsson would be red hot favourite on current form, i'd say he is the world No 1 golfer at this moment in time. He man is just red hot with his short iron play.

Think it's a 2 horse race between Harrington and Furyk for the Slam event. On Sky last night they drew up everyones overall performance in the Majors, Harrington 7+, next best Karlsson 21+, Mickelson next 22+, he declined the invite to this event, Furyk and Rat got the nod as they had the next best record of Major champions this year.

i'm quite surprised any body can get interested in such meaningless event.

Sky or any other network wouldn't be interested in live coverage as there would be too much filling in between shots

Money spinner? Yes.
Boring and unnecessary? Yes.
Will they skip it? Only if 4 unknown Europeans win all majors.

What a joke.
It should have been Harrington v Immelman.
Its this years winners, Woods is injured..tuf.
Harrington holds 2. Therefore he should have narrowed his opponents down by this.
OR BE ALLOWED PLAY TWO BALLS.

Totally pointless event! I think the only reason to stage it should be if there were 4 different winners of the Majors. Reminds me of those stupid 'skins' matches that Sky always used to televise during the early 90's!
