Quins v Scarlets

comment on the article

What a great game Scarlets take the lead in the first few minutes with a well worked try and went in to the half time 19 point to 3 in favour of scarlets.

Dean richards must of saisomething in the break because the second half was all Quins,Scarlets took their foot off the gas and Quins took full adsvantage of that fact.

Well played Quins a well deserved win.

Your thoughts on the game please.

If you actually read my comment all i said was that the ref had a bad game, but i also said quins deserved the win, there was no mention of us losing because of the ref. I was only commenting on his performance.

I'm not taking anything away from quins win they dogged it out and deserved.
All i'm saying is that they weren't anything impressive after hearing about there 15 game. They showed nothing to suggest they are going to challenge stade this group. they may prove me wrong but based on what i saw at stradey today they won't.
Mind you, i'd far rather be in quins position than ours.

The WRU have just announced the folowing statement after the match. The decision to destroy top class rugby in the Bridgend/Pontyridd area has been totally vindicated after the point gained by SCARLETS in todays home loss against Harlequins. After last years 6 matches and Nil points a fantastic mathematical imptovement has been seen in one game by the winning of one point. This was gained by having the folowing team from a huge area with population base from Llanelli to Aberystwyth to Wrexham. The No1 is at least 32 and from gwent, the No2 has played for Wales but is now back down the"pecking order".however the No.3 who again is in his 30's played for New Zealand and always wanted to play in West Wales but couldnt find it and ended up in France. The 4/5 are insignificant and no trace can be found. The No6 is English but plays for Irelasnd. The number8 is from Australia and has had enough of "sheilas",barbies and sunshine and opted for west wales. The number 7 is from some remote area called Bridgend who went to Bath but could'nt cut it there
and has opted once again for west wales. The number 9 is the greatest example of the success of this vision has he already played in the wilderness of mid glamorgan and then went to ply his trade
elsewhere. There was an absolute class of player from Llanelli called Peel who has been sent to the northen regions of a city called Manchester who playing for a "CLUB" called Sale today has performed brilliantly and beaten a very major French team called CF. This was truly a brilliant strategic decision as if he had played today the SCARLETS would have won. The No 10 is good but at the end of game looked somewhat bnemused but who can blame him. the crowd of 8500(including children) to see out one of the great sporting institutions in Wales says it all. With the current base of welsh players the development of new stadium for SCARLETS looks like the best decision for years.

Some great last ditch tackling from Quins to keep them in it. That must have been the inspiration for them to turn it around. Brown had a really good and has confounded his critics here, if not quite played himself back in the reckoning for England.

Scarlet - its alright, i am a Sale fan, so im having a great day!

Quins have the potential to be very very good, when it works for them they can really score some mesmeric tries, god it hurts saying that.

i was highly dissappointed by the scarlets second half performance. really blew it. such a shame we couldn't give stradey a fitting farewell. but fair play harlequins second half tactically played well and closed us out well so well done!!

BarryBunn I think you'll find quins were a last minute try from leciester of being in the playoffs last year and are sitting at the upper end of the table atm. Would probably be higher if we hadn't lost nick evans to injury our kicking let us down in a couple of matches where we really should of won.

If the Scarlets team talk at H/T was now lets think of a way of losing a game they had already won, it worked a treat !!!

Guys, as a Quins fan I am obviously very pleased.

However, this match and the whole weekend was fantastic for rugby fans worldwide.

Next weekend, here we come.

P.S. Shame the coverage was spoiled a little by that silly little game called soccer.

First and foremost congrats to Quins. As a Scarlet fan i believe the blame lies with the directors for not having the vision of employing the right head coach as we have gone back to employing EX employees.
Thanks for the past but we need to look to the future.
We have top a defensive coach not that you would believe it after seeing some of the tries we have leaked. So my question would be, is do we lack leadership? and that surely starts with the head coach.
Ps Dont blame the ref
