India v Australia day four

International Tests
comment on the article

This will be the thread where you can discuss events on day FOUR of the Test in Bangalore.

India have it all to do after Mitchell Johnson's devastating impact on Saturday. Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan gave the hosts some hope, and India need more runs from Zaheer and the last two on Sunday. Australia, when they bat, will need to be careful to balance positive intent with the need to ensure they don't lose the match (albeit an unlikely proposition just now).

This thread will be promoted within our live text commentary, starting on the whistle at 0500 BST tomorrow for those of you who (in the UK) don't want a Sunday lie-in.

With just 7 overs left in todays play. The Aussies have managed to stave off a very real threat from the Indians. I think that this test will now end in a draw.

From what litle I have seen and heard this is a top Test match - well done to both sides so far.

Hope it goes on to be a great series.

Am off to foreigh parts - good reason to buy a newspaper amongst all the doom and gloom etc - hope it gets the coverage in England away from all the football - doubt it!

PS Michael Clarke - just a couple of low scores or is he feeling the pressure a bit more??

Now you see the worth of Harbhajan and Zaheer. Give the Aussies an extra 50 runs or so at this point, plus the added time, and they could be declaring with a lead of at the very least 300. Bowl at the Indians for half an hour, take a few wickets, then skittle em tomorrow. As it is we'll have to make it safe tomorrow, then see if they can bat out (I suspect they won't be able to).

The things you learn during the course of a cricket match! I now know that squirrels eat marrow!

Hi Misoramen,

The auto-refresh page was an experiment for the Olympics. It worked well but needs more work on it before we can use it for every sport.

It will return at some point in the future though.

Thanks.

What a pathetic sentence from you "India need more runs from Zaheer and the last two on Sunday"

Oliver I'm new to this so I don't know if this has been aired but:

"Neither had been picked as a specialist batsman, but they produced the sort of grit and application that has characterised wearers of the baggy green for generations."

but are you Australian?
