last season - 37 apps 8 goals 17 assists

this season - 6 apps 2 goals 3 assists

If he had that form on FM08 he would be a world beater i think he earnt his wage increase we will offer him. Also longer contract means the vultures wont get him on the cheap if we had another Barry saga.

I guess Capello really is the only person blind to his ability. WD Ash u doing us proud as always, next up player of the season

obviously agree with ya...the idea of having joe cole and ashley young in the same team,swapping wings whenever the need arises and being able to take players on for fun,sounds so much more appealing than,"get my head down and hope to god i put in a good cross"downing....

a new contract, i would have the blokes kids this it the most consistant english player since signing for us we need to sign him up for as long as possible before the supposed big 4 come in for him.

as for not being in the england team team its a joke that he is behind beckham, downing he is more of a complete player then walcott.

The fact that this fantastic player is nowhere near the England setup this weekend is absurd.

Capello is an actual idiot if he thinks the likes of Downing & SWP are better than Young.

How can the current best player in the best league in the world not be in his national side?
