Doyle and S.Hunt

With the form these two guys are currently in and the constant lure of the bright lights of premiership football we will unfortunately have to face facts and resign ourselves to having to withstand some serious interest in Doyle and S.Hunt come january.

Now to my point,

IF one of these two were to leave (i'm really hoping we keep hold of both of them!) who would you guys prefer to hang onto?

I personally think we could cope with the loss of Doyle, but if we lost Hunt i honestly believe we'd be in real trouble. Whilst Doyle is scoring for fun this season, I think Hunts overall performance week in week out has been a revelation this season, it seems almost all of our good work either starts with him or goes through him at some stage. Without him in the team i feel we would lose a hell of alot going forward.

Like i said earlier i really hope we keep hold of the both of them, but i feel we could absorb the loss of Doyle alot better than the loss of Hunt.

Was just wondering what everyone thought being as there are so many articles concerning these two players.

We have got Robson-Kanu and Simon Church who have been doing well recently.

Everyone seems resigned to the fact that we will lose S.Hunt in january but I think if he continues to play well with his brother then that might convince him to stay at least till the end of the season. I hope we dont lose any players and that we are in a good position for promotion so they can see its worth sticking with us to get promoted rather then joining a mid table prem team.

That is a very good point about Church not to sure bout kanu as i havent seem him play. I was at the England u21 game agaisnt wales and Church had a stormer getting himself 2goals(the only goals wales have scored against us ever at that level) and he could well find himself with a chance come january

Seeing the youngsters coming through into the first team and doing well is one of the only good things about the stars of the team leaving. If, as reported, Doyle goes to Aston Villa for £7m maybe we will see Church and Robson-Kanu stepping up.

Reading's Kevin Doyle will sign for Aston Villa in January. The price tag - a mere £7m. (News of the World)

saw that on the BBC rumours page and I very much doubt thats true at all.

With the form he's in at the minute there is no way we'll let him leave for 7m. No chance
