Great comeback by Zaheer to take 5 wickets. Superb spell of reverse swing. Ishant bowled well too

Aus 430 all out. They may be some 100 runs short. Superb ton by Mr cricket though.

Great start by India thanks to Sehwag and Gambhir

However run scoring is not easy on this slow pitch and if defensive fields are set, it becomes even more difficult. Aus have no spinner. but so far the two accomplished indian spinners have managed just 1 wicket between them. so shoulndt worry australia that much

All I am saying is that Indian batsmen to include Tandulakr, Ganguly, and Sehwag have played most of their career's cricket on very flat, bounce-less, bald and slow pitches in India, so naturally they pile up tremendous amounts of runs. If you look at Tresco's career, or KP or even Vaughan's career, they have produced stable performances while playing on very testing pitches and taking on both spin and pace, for nearly all of their careers. Bell is becoming more diverse in his game after every series.

Allow me to jump in Douglas.

How conveniently you have ignored that Sehwag's average is about 60 in Australia and about 40 in England (very low isnt it!!).

Oh wait - his average is only 10 in New Zealand ! Damn if he couldnt conquer there how can he be good. Also what if his avreage on 'hugely pacey pitches' of Bangladesh is only 11.

People like you are plainly jealous of talents of other teams. And next time do a better analysis, and not try to be selective with the facts.

Well said.

Also, if this Douglas guy did watch the series in Aus, they showed 10dulkar's home and away record- they were identical!

He makes statments as if he has all the stats but he doesn't and just tends to make foolish claims... best way to avoid wasting your time with these kinda ppl is to avoid chatting to them...

Let the players themselves do the talking...

Whoever comments on Tendulkar should know that he is one of the select few like Lax, Lara, KP who have averaged over 50 in Aus, same with S'Wag who has averaged over 50 in Aus, and in England Tendulkar again has a very high average, Dravid too has been consistent. So stop making rubbish comments about Tendulkar, Sehwag or Dravid

Ah i see, Douglas is one of those aus anti's, been away from this site too long, a new breed have formed!

For you to mention "Tendulkar, shewag and Ganguly" score most of their runs on flat pitches showed what a joke you are, but means i can ignore your posts from now on.

Should be excellent entertainment watching India bat tomorrow. Especially if White comes on for a bowl!

It's always great to watch when the indian batsmen get set and start piling up the runs. They are not the best batting side in the world, but they are the best entertaining batting line up in the world...Sehwag, Tendulkar, Laxman, Dhoni..they all can make your day tomorrow, but the trouble is how much has the Srilankan series affected their confidence?...it'll be an interesting saturday's play...

I don't think they will wait and play defensively..It's difficult to see Australia losing from this position, but i wouldn't rule out the possibility of India piling up 600+...neither would i rule out the possibility of them being bowled out for 150 laugh
