Why is Kinnear getting charged?

It is not him who publicises his foul language over the papers and news. He has no control over it. There is currently no law against swearing and that can be the only reasen for them to cahrge him. It should be the media who get charged as they were in control of publicising it. They had the choice to do what they want with it. Kinnear just expressed how he felt about them, and why not? They deserve it. He hadn't even started the job and was already being abused. So far i am supporting Kinnear all the way.

I don't have a problem with what was said in the press conference, plenty of managers have sworn heavily at the press knowing it won't be printed in full... I think he spoke for many who are sick of the way stories are reported and if intentional, it took attention away from the team at just the right time.

I dont have a problem with swearing and you can understand him doing it,his excuse is **** really, growing up on a council estate is no reason as a grown man to swear like that. Ohhh and i thought he was born and bred in Ireland? So much for not being the cockney mafia :-S

to the fan who's parents work in the media tell them to get a real job. and if that causes offence then b******s. by the way your grammar isn't up to much - oooh the irony.
it was the media who put joe's rant on the back pages - they didn't have to print it did they? but obviously kinnear's rant was mint like someone else said - priceless.

I was brought up on a council estate in Birmingham and don't feel the need to swear like that. It's a pathetic excuse. I coach junior football and wouldn't want my lads copying Kinnear. Everyone knows he's just trying to create a 'Wimbldon mentality' but it's a prehistoric approach and we're not all fools !

At last someone lashed out at the animals that are the british media. Well done Kinnear! Could u give one or two a good slapping next time?

They make their living digging up dirt or making dirt up about people and deserve everything that is said about them.

I think Newcastle need to get a grip and realise its not managerial problems but player problems causing their poor results. The team hasnt changed like the managers have and the results are the same, coincidence?

Think he should be talking to a Shrink about this and not the FA and the media, surely he can afford one now on his £50,000 a week salary?

i am a red and whiter and heard joe giving it what for!i tell you , over the past few years on sky ,we have to listen to the fleet street reporters giving thier views and they think they are experts! hold on, they might be able to write better than most of us,but they are no better than us! in fact ,the proper football fan will see more games than these EXPERTS## THESE reporters could not lace mr kinears boots up ,when it comes to football knowledge, so i was over the moon when he told this little big heed reporter where to go ! So then the press mafia lambasted joe for daring to question this little upstart!Lets go back to players and managers giving thier expert opinion and not reporters, chairmen ,business people etc thier expert advice because they know jack s! Having said all that ,newcastle we are on the up yipeeeeeeeeee
