aston villa sud go though ,they have far far out spent most of the clubs involved over the last few years.yet villa fans think there where they are though skill alone.yet look at what u spent.how much have you recouped in terms of transfers? to what you spent. villa have spent there way to where they are .your not doing aswell as u sud. hang your heads

hang our heads? your a joke we spent a lot of money this summer because we have to compete with portsmouth, spurs and man city the last to spent millions more then us so shudnt they b hanging there heads compared to us sort it out mate and critis the right team not the wrong one

ok there not doing well in the league but when it comes to europe for Mikan there a whole different team!

look what they done to united 2 seasons ago!

Im really looking forward to playing the giant Ajax! especially at VP. There not the tea they used to be but if we play the right team right frame of mind keep our ffet on the groun..we'll beat them!

Hhmmn.. Martin Jol thinks were favourites to win this group. Mind games Martin.
Were not favourites Ajax and Hamborg are clear favourites due to their european experience. I think what Martin actually means is that Villa will beat them both; but were not favourites.

Every team with ambition has to spend even if its an ambition just to stay in the PL. Villa spent about £40mn this summer but with that we brought 8 players so to me that is not excessive. £5mn a Player is not that much in todays market.

The differences betweeen Villa & others is that we also bring our Youth into the first team and buy Young english talent.

Are you just bitter because Newcastle have spent far more than Villa and are sitting in the relegation zone, whilst we have spent well and are now in the group stages on the CL.

umm mate im a lpool fan !!! dont no where you got newcastle from. if you read my previous posts,u'd see that sum villa fans were ngetting excited about villa in europe saying it was based on skill etc. they forgot to mention the fact you bought your way there over last 4 years.and this summer you spent loads more. so come on have sum decentcy and admitt you spent loads and loads.thats why villa are so great.not because they spent nothing and blooded youth. im a lpool fan and i admitt if we didnt spend we wouldnt be nowhere near where we are. but you villa fans live in dream land. bottom line is this. if villa had spent 1/4 as much they wouldnt be in europe even half that amount. so yes villa have good team.but its coz of money little else
