Good on you mate your most probably correct with what saying but i dont hate Watkiss we just need someone different as assistant manager, a total fresh start. great appointment MIKE NEWELL THE NEW MANAGER.

Wycombe fan in peace, IMHO i think you have got a fantastic manager in Mike Newell. A good coach and an extremley honest bloke - been waiting for him to get another job and i'm glad the Grimsby board (unlike most of the others) have taken him on. Good luck Newell , good luck grimsby. (not on saturday though)

Great coup you got there. Newell is a great manager and so badly treated at Luton. An honest manager for once even if he doesnt like female linesman......

This idiot doesn't know what he's talking about - Newell inherited a very good squad from Kinnear, and it was those players who got us into the Championship. Once we'd sold them things didn't go so well, but a lot of that can be contributed to things off the pitch.

It sounds like you need a more attacking style of play and Mike will give you that. Let's just hope he hasn't sorted you out before the 21st. Will he be cheered or booed by LTFC fans? I honestly don't know.

Grimsby not doing great but this could revitalise you. Always loved Newell, putting Luton right in it when he left there i found brilliant. Good luck guys.
