Just a word on Phil Brown and his Hull team !!!! Fantastic, what a breath of fresh air, and what a way for a Club to announce their first ever arrival in the top flight of English football....... I am sure they'll go on to get the 40 or so points they need for safety - and possibly better. There are bound to be blips and some thumping defeats, but it looks as though you have more than enough about you to stay up..... Best of Luck !!! Well done.

Good to read all the positive comments. Just one thing. A lot of people refer to us as a little club, understandably given our lack of success in the past. However the potential is assive. Hull is a large city, larger than some cities which have what are regarded as big clubs. Apart from population of 250,000 in the city there are something like 700,000 people where Hull City are the nearest league club. A few years ago when we were struggling in division 4 aqnd nearly going out of the league we lost 5-1 at home to Liverpool in the league cup. Some Liverpool fans were amazed at the 6,500 that we took to Anfield for the second leg. Some we were talking to in The Arkle pub were saying they would kep an eye open for our results in the future as they wondered how many we would attract if we had some success. The only thing restricting us now is the size of the stadium. We could have sold 35,000 tickets for the Everton game. But we have a sensible chairman so any extensions will only come when the time is right.

Arsenal fan but as a Yorkshire resident it's about time a team from this corner of the UK did something in the Premiership. By the end of last week's match I found myself rooting for the opposition and it's not often that happens. Hull had the spirit, the passion, the tactics and the balls and thoroughly deserved the win.

Spurs fan here (dont laugh too hard now :S)

People generally assume money is directly proporional to success but teams like Hull are examplar to the fact that this is not the case.

I'd like to see how you cope under a string of loses but under the determination and commitment we have seen, i think you are well equipped to stay in the PL possibly for seasons to come.

even if Hull suffer from "second season syndrome", i wouldnt mind it that much as they will have stayed up in their first season, which will have made me proud to be a Hull City fan

Exactly, plus there is nothing to be ashamed of in a bit of yoyoing between divisions. If you look at the likes of Boro, Bolton and even Man City all went up and down before establishing themselves.

Anyway, enjoy it and remember every point is one closer to what will be well earned safety

if im wrong on this statement then im wrong but i honestly dont feel hull will be lower than 12th.

they have beat some big teams AWAY, and i know the prem is a marathon not a sprint, but ipswich finished in a euro place so why not hull?

and over the past few years at least 1 team that has come up has stayed up.

at this moment in time hull have more points than title faves man u, and are looking good value for money.

defensively great, and in geovanni a real attacking threat.

their bubble may well burst after a few straight defeats but if i was anyway attached to hull wether it be through club or fan id be delirious right now.

I'm a Leeds fan.
But I am glad to see that at least one team from YORKSHIRE is doing us all proud.

Hull have come into the Premier League through the play-offs which I don't think anyone expected.

But they're playing some good stuff this season, and Phill Brown and his players are making a big name for themselves.

Turner for England...what a player he is...

17th would be considered a great year - I think 12th or higher is stretching it a little. The squad is not big or experienced enough. Yes, you're off to a flier and good luck too, but City fans - keep it real and don't lose faith when the dip in form inevitably comes. You've got to consider your BIG games are going to be v Stoke, WBA, Boro, and Fulham. Home wins and away points from those fixtures on top of what you've already achieved and you'll certainly get a second season! As far as the club having massive potential - in theory yes. But it's much easier for some kid living in the Lincs/Humber region to buy a Man Utd or Chelsea top from JJB than attend matches at the KC Stadium. You've also got to consider costs. With the price of petrol, would you be willing to travel an hour in traffic on winding B roads and then pay £25 for a ticket on top? When Hull have established themselves as a mid table Premier side for 3-4 seasons then you can start to think about expanding capacities. Bolton Wanderers are the model Phil Brown and the board will surely follow.

Hull didn't get enough credit at the start of the season, people thought they were going striaght back down which was nonsence. They were the form team in the championship in the last 10 games and they've taken that form to the prem. They've added to their squad well without spending much money with quality player such as Boateng, Cousin and Geovanni to name a few. Hull also seem to have a bit of depth to with the likes of Mendy and windass on the bench. I reckon a top 10 finish for Hull this year
