I do not know if it is lack of match fitness or if it is a case that he is not up to the Scottish football speed or not but that is twice he has played in place of Mad Mental Martin due to injury but Saints were playing with 10 men when he played on Saturday against Airdrie United. The only thing he did was pick up a yellow card. Mooner played much better than McKoy did which was not hard. He was named by the press as "the real McKoy" He is anything but.
What do my fellow Saints fans think of Nick McKoy?

McKoy was poor...very poor. Nearly anonymous for 45 minutes aside from the yellow card which you mentioned. He does have potential cult status, as he is massive, and could be the next Jason Scotland, he just lacks one thing...ability.

Moon was every bit as good as McKoy was bad, which makes me think Moon has to start next week.

On a side note, very very quiet at McDiarmid on Saturday, despite an encouraging performance and good result. If we'd drawn the game, we'd have had to have shouldered some of the blame for struggling to get the team going IMO.

To be fair, he's only been in 3 games for us and may yet simply be struggling to adjust to Saints' style. That said, he was simply poor on Saturday, and shocking against Clyde. I'd give Mooney a start over him any day.

And concerning the lack of atmosphere at McD - I think it was just that the crowd were nervous, and the usual shouty characters were missing, aside from the chap who shouted (hilariously)"Referee, you're ****ing abysmal!"

Haha. Also, the guy three rows in front of me who directed a full minute of "You Fat B*****d" at the keeper deserves a medal for "Commitment to Chanting."

Had a bad feeling McKoy wasn't at the races on Saturday as the teams lined up and he stood out by Swankie before being told to move into the middle and stood beside sheerinho who proceed to tell him to move his ass to the right of midfield and that sums up his afternoon. Never had a clue what he was supposed to do. hopefully he will improve and starts engaging his brain at 3pm on a saturday afternoon.

This is typical of us Saints fans... he has not hit the ground running so we should write him off.

He may turn out to not be good enough, but he is a Saintee and it's early days...

Saints should have used the money and got Rocco Quinn back as the fans know wot to expect from him
