Mustoe the saviourWelsh Cardiff Blues by Chesterjeff (U12742920) 04 October 2008 Not one for calling for a coaches head and having not seen the game but I hear Blues missed 5 pen kicks too, however a full strength side against lets say a "Sale Select XV" you assume Dai Young targeted this game and this competition in which the Blues may get some long awaited success. They have had a relatively poor start in the magners following all the pre-season hype too. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

Nine Tries to One (U7782420) posted Oct 4, 2008 Cardiff were dreadful. With a neutral ref (he was welsh - some hopes) Williams would have been carded , firstly yellow then red. Fearns (England 7's) was easily the man of the match, closely followed by Tait.

Nine Tries to One (U7782420) posted Oct 4, 2008 Witha neutral ref Cardiff wouldn't have got the penalties to miss. They couldn't even score with Sale down to 14 men after a fatuous yellow card.

sionicwmrhondda (U9306462) posted Oct 4, 2008 Yet another abysmal performance from Cardiff followed by another interview with the coach who says they were dreadful. It must be the rugby season #123. Nothing ever changes at Cardiff does it?

Blues Brother (U9246519) posted Oct 4, 2008 the ref was fine. take your loss on the chin and move on. just because the ref was Welsh you have a problem, we have to put upwith English refs all the same.

CIAsilkmen (U13019642) posted Oct 4, 2008 Blues Brother, there was a time near your try line when one of your players clearly went through the side door and subsequently slowed the ball down for Sale. But the referee didn't penalise it. He should have been sin-binned for a professional foul and had Sale kicked it, then Sale would have moved 20-13 ahead. There were also several occassions whereby Cardiff were either lying on the wrongside of the ruck or entering through the side but weren't penalised. When they were penaised for being offside and they were constantly, they were neither warned nor sin-binned. I'm not suggesting bias or anything

jinks-cider-stash (U7847019) posted Oct 6, 2008 CIA, a similar thing happened to us at the start of the season against Leinster. The ref let them get away with murder and missed a clear penalty try and several yellow cards. The game ended a draw. But the ref was Scottish so I don't know what or what to blame it on.

howmuchforchips (U11729139) posted Oct 8, 2008 it was a strange game, the wind was wickedly deceptive hence some rather worst than usual kicks by both sets, ok its a win for the blues and they all count but look at the sale side that they put out, i know cardiff can play better but its a mighty step up required sales intention about the EDF were clear enough , interestingly the prices didnt reflect the mostly B side they put out, was the 50p off the programme just for this game too ?
