Middlesex Stanford Team:

Shaun Udal (c), Neil Carter, Neil Dexter, Steven Finn, Billy Godleman, Tyron Henderson, Ed Joyce, Murali Kartik, Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan, Tim Murtagh, David Nash, Alan Richardson, Ben Scott(wk), Andrew Strauss.

Do you agree with this selection? As Shah will be playing for England who do you think Middlesex should have got on loan, aswell as carter?

I'm against Middlesex drafting in Carter just for this tournament....

Trinidad have lost four players. Dwayne Bravo to injury, and three players to the stanford Super Stars - Rayad Emrit, Kieron Pollard and Dave Mohammed. But did they draft in any Jamaicans or Barbadians to play for them? No, they gave chances to some Trini juniors, like Justin Guillen....

It's pretty clear to me who has the moral upper ground in this one....

KP does have a point really. Perhaps posh's bloke might care to join the circus if he's at a loose end....

I agree with KP.
Why should Carter come in after a long season playing for another county, just to play in the games which he might not deserve.
As a Warwickshire supporter, I an against this and I cant see what Warwickshire were thinking to allow Carter to fly with Middlesex to these 2 tournaments on Loan.
Loans are not whats needed in Cricket...oh and when its KP, its wholly different for the IPL, the IPL team wont borrow KP to play in a major tourney after he's played the IPL season

And another excuse to have a go at Pietersen ... Carter and Dexter should NOT be playing for Middlesex at the expense of guys who have got them there - and Pietersen's place of birth etc has no bearing on it ... I'm mightily pissed off that Billy Godleman has to sit this one out while some bloke with absolutely no history with the county gets to latch on to them in the big dollars game, but where they are from and who they are isn't relevant at all ...

Huge shame that Hendo is out injured, to me it looks a weak team without Hendo or Nannes, and with these 2 newbies in there

Surely the players who got Middlesex here should be playing (if available). I can't see Middlesex doing much without Henderson, but even without him the team feels wrong - I saw them beat Lancashire and there was Godleman and Shah, and no Strauss, Carter and Dexter...

Peterson is a disgrace, he stands to gain huge sums of money playing cricket for a country not of his birth. He should concentrate on his own team selection and reign his ego in a bit !

If KP is interested in cricket ahead of money, he should welcome the competition Neil Carter can provide. If he opposes mercenary cricketers, he should go back to SA, and take his chavish ways with him--good riddance.

I would have thought there would be something in the loan agreement that prevents Carter from walking away with a possible £600k anyway.KP might ostensibly be more interested in the privilege of playing for England than the money, but I'm fairly sure that's not shared by Middlesex. Good luck to them, on a good day Carter could win it for them.
