So its the end for Damien (from his point of view its sad as football was his everyday job) but saves us a bit of dosh if he was never going to be fully fit.

disappointing to see a career end so early.

Damien Francis was one of the best midfielders I've seen in a long time at Norwich. Everything seemed to channel through him. His departure to Wigan was pivotal in a decline in the club's fortune at the time. Sorry to see him go.

Really sad for Francis - I am sure that fully fit he would have become a major star for us. Good luck to him though as I am sure he will find a future coaching or whatever.

Really rated him, especially when he play for Norwich I think? I don't think we saw the best of him at Wigan but I wish he'd not been sold so fast.

I cannot see any response to the inurance questions. I know it is callous, but a bit of insurance money might just ease the financial situation we have. So...

Does anybody know if we will get money from his potential sell on value or will it be a percentage of what we paid for him??

Or will we not get anything?

My best memory of Damien Francis was on the opening day of the Premiership season. Aidy had signed him and all i heard is that he was a holding midfielder. He played a blinder, capping it off with a goal. He's going to be greatly missed by many people.

Not sure how true the rumour is but somebody on Gloryhorns seems to have heard Francis is thinking of suing us because a doctor who has now left gave him the wrong medical advice?

Hopefully this isn't the case!
