Dont understand all the negative press about Burley.

When the shortlist of Souness, McGee and Burley was leaked I have to admit that I wanted Burley out of the three.

Souness talks a good game and whilst Burley lacks Charisma for the press, I'd much rather rely on him than Souness in a tactical warzone.

Burley aint using many different players to Smith & McLeish and if anything I think we will be more attacking under Burley which is the main thing Walter was criticised for.

We beat Norway next saturday and we are in a great position to qualify from our group.

Freedooooooom!!!!!

You guys seem a bit worried about McAllister's selection. Personally I think he's a class player. Marked Downing out of the game 3 times over the past years in the FA cup, Gives it his all, I don't know why a prem club hasn't come knocking. If you are all angry about McAllsister what about Commens?

Ive never seen McAllister play so good luck to him.

Im rather disappointed McGregor has kept his place. Being a Kilmarnock fan I am slightly biased but I thought on recent form Alan Combe would've been included.

Anyway a strong squad player for player equal to Norway?

GK: Gordon over Jarstein/Opdal
DR: Broadfoot has been impressive don't know who the norway RB is
CB: Slight disadvantage in my opinion Hangelaard is better than both caldwell/weir
LB: Riise over McAllister (i assume
RM: ?Fletcher?
CM: Hartley and Brown i assume
LM: Maloney
CF: McFadden
ST: Iwelumo?Boyd?

Some of you lot need some serious perspective.

"creaking Weir" - That will be the same creaking Weir who has been captaining the in form SPL side currently sitting 3 points clear at the top of the league. Can't Really remember him having a bad mistake for Scotland, now McManus on the other hand...ahem. So who would you replace him with - bearing in mind every game is now a must win, we can afford little inexperience at the back and absolutely no passangers. Darren Barr - plays for a relegation battling side who concede plenty of goals, he has never seen the level of football Weir has...EPL regualar and CL/UEFA experience. Christophe Berra - Overrated to the extreme because the token Scot got made Hearts captain. He is nowhere near Weir's class. I wouldn't even pick him ahead of Gary Caldwell.

Charlie Mulgrew - On What? a free kick against Celtic. Get a grip the guy has yet to hold down a full time slot for an SPL side and you want him playing for Scotland???? These guys may have potential but we've been down that road with Berti before and it didn't work, hence the capping of the likes of Kevin Kyle. Not to mention ruining the early part of KEvin McNaughton's career.

McAllister may not be world class but he is an older head, something that may be required if there is a sudden injury crisis.

McCormack is prehaps the only one I would bring in but Iwelumo is on a similar vein of form and is a little more experienced so I can grumble too much about that.

You all act like we have a world class pool to pick from. Newsflash...WE DON'T.

Unfortunately for us it doesn't get much better than this. Hopefully Barry will be back soon and we can have his quality in there against Holland.

And the rangers fan who said he was uncomfortable with Kirk Broadfoot in the side, exactly how many Rangers games have you watched lately. He's been MOM or close to it in every game this season. He is proving to be a very good player. He attacks well and his delivery is getting better all the time, besides being a solid defender. So he made a couple of foul throws in a UEFA game last year, who cares? Just because he looks like a donkey doesn't make it so.

dp your the type of muppet that gives rangers fans a bad nameok

try thinking before you speak pal.

Kirk Broadfoot is just a donkey.plain and simple

David Weir is a good defender, but as the earlier comment meant if you actually thought about it was stating that weir is past is.

Charlie Mulgrew is a class act and i cannot belive he hasnt been called up.if you actually watch a game you might of noticed that against your mob he was man of the match.Oh and the week before and the week after and the week after.Do you see a patern here? The fact of the matter is that scotand dont have many qualtiy left sided players but when we get the likes of McNaughton and Mulgrew we should be jumping at the chance to get them experience.

and for Jamie McAllister for all the works hard he just isnt good enough. If we were letting everyone into the scotland team for work rate we would have darren mackie upfront.

I do think we need to be positive to help the side but when the team was put out today i laughed.I just dont think Burley is the right man for the job.

Rant over

Hopefully the boys go out and show us what they can dook

I'll admit to not watching a huge amount of Aberdeen games but correct me if I'm wrong are you not sitting 2nd bottom of the league? Seems like an ideal place to pull Scotland players from. I'm not denying Mulgrew has talent and I'm sure he has the potential to be an international player but picking a guy who has not established himself in Aberdeen's 1st XI is not the way to go(was actually sitting on the bench against Celtic) As I mentioned before look what it did to Kevin McNaughton, a situation that should be close to most Aberdeen fans' hearts.

Anyway the fact that you slate Broadfoot shows you don't watch many games yourself and simply read what the Ibrox knuckle draggers write on here. Broadfoot has been one of Rangers best performers this season and for a lot of the UEFA cup run last season. Considering the guy was bought from St Mirren as a back up centre half who was less likely to see first team action than Alan Gow he has done very well. Injuries and the sale of Hutton gave him a shot in the team at right back which he has grabbed with both hands. He also scored a vital goal on his scotland debut in a performance that more than merits another call up.

Solid side although they will be up against it against the norweign who are no mugs with the likes of carew, pedersen, risse and co, there win hav to be good service to the strikers id be tempted to put brown and maloney on the wings and fletch playing in the atacking midfield roll with hartley sitting behind him.
