Great youngsters/debuts

comment on the article

When I was 15 years and 45 days, I was tucked up in bed by 9pm. Honest.

No such early nights for young Reuben Noble-Lazarus (great name, great future).

Good chance for some chat about brilliant youngsters or stunning debuts you have witnessed at first hand. Over to you....

Cheers
Frank

Not DJ's debut, I am afraid. That was a month earlier against Cowdenbeath in a First Division match. He scored two goals that day. He also came on as a sub in another league game, against Motherwell. He finished the season by scoring the equaliser in the Scottish Cup Final, also against Celtic.

What about Colin Stein at the start of his Rangers' career? Three goals in four minutes against Arbroath at Gayfield, another hat-trick the following Saturday on his home debut against his former club, Hibernian and another two the following Wednesday in a Fairs' Cup match against Dundalk.

Most exciting debut I've ever seen was Cristiano Ronaldo without a doubt. I've never seen anyone bamboozle a defence so much whenever he got the ball. I hadn't seen anybody bursting with skill so much and able to show it off so effortlessly.

Cristiano Ronaldo never had a good debut? It was a fairly basic one.

Robninho's debut for Real Madrid? absolutely tore the other team apart.

But the best ever has to be Pato's for Internacional, no-on ehad even heard of him when he played against Palmeiras, set up 3 goals and scored the other one. stunning.

Robbie Keane for Coventry. 19 years old, £6million most expensive teenager ever at the time and then justified it with 2 against Derby (when they were reasonably good)
