yorker_129-7 (U1601085) posted Sep 29, 2008 Vaughan to my mind never knew how to skipper spin bowlers. Giles he used purely as a defensive option, and he wasted Panesar. His great successes in 2005 (South Africa, Australia) and the previous summer came purely because of the form of his quick bowlers. When they lost form when he came back, he struggled.
