just read something interesting!

Did u know that Newcastle's chief scout Lil Fuccillo was manager of Luton Town during the 2000-2001 season. Joe Kinnear was appointed director of football that very year and he demoted Lil Fuccillo and took charge of the team, they still ended up being relegated.

Small world, hope there's no bad blood there!

Kinnear went in at half time to talk to the team in the changing room at half time against Blackburn. Now Keegan was the kind of guy to get the players believing but I don't think Kinnear is the kind of guy to do this. Ok we have played better second half but I just don't think he will do us any good. Keegan 4 life!

I've read several comments here, and many of them are putting down Joe Kinnear. I'm a Man united fan, so my opinion won't really stand to much, but the way I see it - at least someone like Kinnear has the balls to try and come in and sort out the mess, unlike "the messiah" who just leaves like a brat when things aren't going his way.
I think Kinnear is the right personality for Newcastle right now, he doesn't seem bothered about anything other than getting the team back on track - and really, thats all Toon need at the moment

I completely agree with Flyinghurdler! What is the big deal about Keegan. History shows that when the going gets tough Keegan quits. He's won little or nothing as a manager yet the fans still want him. Newcastle are a average club supported by fans who obviously crave mediocrity. Kevin Keegan is a poor manager so get over him quickly before you sink any lower.

I doubt it,
I think that the consortium will go through by january. Keegan will come back and steer them out of relegation.

i reckon joe will do ok.........he's got bottle and will get the players believing again. newcastle have to move on. but back joe and your team untill a new full time gaffer comes in.

He is doing a good job for you. You should beat WBA this week. No one would have given you hope a few weeks ago.
