Do you think Terry Venables shall be a good short-term replacement?

I bet Terry Venables suddenly looks an attractive option!

How many for the Blackburn game? 12?

Keegan , albeit a great Liverpool player has never had the tatical awareness or basic understanding of how to grind wins out unlike the GREAT managers such as shankly , Stien , and Paisley .

If this whole NUFC soap opera were not so sad, it would be funny. This club needs a five year plan and I don't think that many of their fans can see beyond next week-end.

Has anyone contacted Big Ron Atkinson or maybe Malcom Allison yet??... Maybe Arkright could do it or even Boyce?... I suspect Triggers more qualified for the Newcastle job!!! laugh

xmitch00ukx (U13187770) any point you might have made is irrelevant as soon as you start using text speak. You sound like a five year old.

If Tony Blair were to act as an intermediary between Mike Ashley and NUFC supporters, then maybe the club would find some short term stability. If Blair is a joke as a real Newcastle fan, then there are lots of reasonable NUFC supporters who could offer a representation and get the current 'soap opera' brought to a halt, and help players and the club start playing football again.

I think Terry would have been a great choice.

t's amazing that Keegan gets so much criticism from rival fans who think he knows nothing about football and tactics yet almost all of the players he has managed speak glowingly of him. Players like Ginola, Beardsley, Asprilla, Albert, Rob Lee, Beresford, Les Ferdinand, Beckham, Scholes, Neville. Don't you think that if he knew nothing, the players might just have figured that out.

Sorry, that argument just doesn't hold any water at all, name one professional footballer that can count to 20 without taking off their socks...

They probably liked him because he is as thick as they are and he didn't intimidate them...If KK really is Newcastle's messiah then you've got real issues up there. You had Sir Bobby Robson, arguably the greatest english manager of his generation and a geordie to boot and yet, when he went, there was nowhere near the outcry that met the departure of KK who isn't fit to lace his boots! Hell, KK isn't fit to lace Allardyce's boots!

Its because of this that rival fans find it difficult to take the current situation seriously. And now you've got Joe Kinnear. A decent man, and a good manager. How long before you all start blaming him for everything that goes wrong? I for one will be hoping that the toon army willl show him the respect he deserves. he's trying to help you out so get behind him and remember, the only reason he is there is because he is the best you could get! That may well be Ashleys fault, it might well be the supporters fault but it sure as hell ain't Joe's fault..
