BertBlack (U2093322) posted Sep 23, 2008 40 Quid for an adult ticket ??? Are they on crack ? It's an insult, and slap in the face for the supporters. Make's me sick to think of what these idiots are doing to our game. Need a reality check. And a huge check on grossly inflated players wages and transfer fee's. Go and buy a new Armani suit and leave us in peace !

herts_ram (U2311951) posted Sep 23, 2008 I think Norwich have got it right, I paid £32.00 for myself and my son to go on the 4th to Carrow Road. This was £27 for me and £5 for my son who is 13. OK further from home for me, but I would rather pay for Delia's wine than Niomi's champagne! Good on you Norwich.

zone1ranger (U12559759) posted Sep 23, 2008 As a Rangers fan it's a shame that it has taken a larger team and national debate for the club (new management) to retract the hike. After season ticket rises just about passing this latest stunt could have gone in silence so thanks to the Rangers and the Rams for making this achievement.

jinius12 (U7565050) posted Sep 23, 2008 I think it is a joke for ANY championship side to try and charge £40 for a standard ticket!! Many premiership sides offer cheaper tickets than this and no disrespect intended but there is a massive difference in standard. I just wonder how many fans are being asked to cough up these sort of amounts to watch their team play every week.

Hector-Norwich-Ram (U13409060) posted Sep 23, 2008 Fully agree with Herts_Ram. I was most impressed by the Norwich prices £32.00 for me and my Boy aged 14 (£5.00 for him) to watch the Rams on 4th Oct. Although the Norwich board seem to have had a lot of flack recently, I take my hat off to them, as they seem to have a great policy regarding youngsters and encouraging them into the game. Apparently £1.00 for some games for the youngsters. I think if other clubs adopted this policy, some of these half empty grounds may become a thing of the past!

Chappers0106 (U6591325) posted Sep 23, 2008 Well done Derby. I know a lot of Bristol City fans were planning to boycott the game in protest (Poverty?), so they might find an increase in revenue by lowering prices.

stoned_ranger (U10830243) posted Sep 24, 2008 As a QPR member for years, last season I was Paying £30.00 for my son and me to sit in the upper loft. This season the same seats will cost me £50.00. Add that to the fact that we travel from Bristol to London for the home games I can't really see me going to as many games this season as last, which is bad for me, my son and the club. posted Sep 25, 2008 hey stoned_ranger...

*Exiled Canary (U3675570) posted Oct 15, 2008 I think the clubs should be allowed to charge what they like - the fans have the answer if they don't like it - don't pay it, end of story. Comment on this article |
