Reg Tunnel (U8440887) posted Sep 22, 2008 I have a soft spot for Armstrong - not a sophisticated player but very steady. Then again his passing has been dodgy at times this season. He can be good in front of the back four as a sweeper-upper but not really a sweeper. If you catch my drift......

tunnelvision (U10898642) posted Sep 22, 2008 Armstrong is always a committed tackler, and as Reg says, good in front of the back four. However, he's too one footed and can't pass. A useful squad player at this level, I would have thought, and rarely gets injured.

charliehowarth (U10190260) posted Sep 23, 2008 I thought part of Cheltenham's problem with attracting the better players was the club not being willing to meet their wage demands. Perhaps offloading all of these players will free up cash to do that for the January transfer window.

tunnelvision (U10898642) posted Sep 23, 2008 Well he's not impressed me either. He can't tackle and his work rate is low (no pun intended).
