Had to send a letter to the FA after the worst decision in football history. Reading players all new this was a farce even the manager new it and did nothing! I think the FA will have no option but to re play this game. The legal action it could face would be too expensive for them to defend.

Email to FA and Fifa -

To whom it may concern,

Should Watford miss out on the playoffs can they sue the FA for the £60 million they may have won?

Will the FA insist that the game is replayed?

Will the FA insist Reading allow Watford to score a goal without opposition from the kickoff of the Reading home game?

Will the FA deduct two points from Reading and adjust Watford's points?

Or will you do FA?

Reading scored 1 goal Watford scored 2. Here's a novel idea, call the game a 2-1 win for Watford!

Yea that one was ruled out by monday I reckon.

Theres no chance the game would have followed the same pattern after a goal in the 13th minute. Would be unfair on Reading, who haven't done anything wrong.

briggowl,
Here's a novel idea...why don't YOU simply call the FA each gameday and tell them the score for the Watford games that you would prefer. In fact, if you do that, the team won't even need to show up and their bad tempered manager would not need to openly insult the game officials.

Said it before, say again.."Officials make mistakes", let this game rest in peace.

A lot of people are saying, "Well thats football/the way it goes"

I say, why should the be the case? Football is so behind the times in terms of its officiating, in a time where games are won and lost on a single error/moment of brilliance, the officials should be supported to make correct decisions. Obviously incorrect decisions should be reversed as in a host of other sports.

At the risk of suffering the risk of other people in this thread, i totally agree with that.

I've never accepted the argument that refereeing mistakes can be excused just by saying, 'thats the way it goes'. Surely things can be improved? (like in tennis laugh )

What about the perfectly good goal that Bikey was denied!!!! Oh and the other penalty decision that didn't go our way!!! Lets have this game replayed.

Watford have rejected the idea of a suggested replay from Coppell to the FA. This in itself goes to show that Watford are happy with a point.

Secondly, all those claiming that the goal should be just chalked off are out of their minds. Where would Watford have got the rallying mentality from to get their two goals. If the goal had come at 2-0 to Watford, I can see the claim, but in this case they're just making themselves look foolish.

If Pedro Mendes' 'goal' against Man U or David Healy's 'goal' against Middleborough didnt warrant the use of goal line technology I dont know what will
